Yes it's indeed a common name that sounds very familiar.
Two great albums, are they vinyl or cd's @Mel O'Drama?.
Tomorrow I will go to the records music fair in my city, I hope to be able to find some nice vinyl albums or cd's again to add more music to my music collection.
They're just CDs. I haven't dared get back into vinyl as I know it would cost me a fortune and I'd have to find somewhere to put them all.
That sounds fun, PC. It's an exciting feeling to go along not quite knowing which gems you'll find. Are there any albums you're especially hoping to find there?
Okay, I understand your decision @Mel O'Drama not to get into the vinyl records, it certainly costs a lot of money, which is why I have now become more aware of what I do and do not want to collect on vinyl. And CD's are still great to collect too, i have both albums on cd and i also got that live album from the Carpenters on elpee., it's a great record.
Thanks @Mel O'Drama, it's always a pleasure to go there, it's just the excitement walking in and just never know what you will find at such a music fair, it's like a kid in a candy store.
Well i hope to find some more 7-inch vinyl singles from Olivia Newton-John, Barbra Streisand, Anne Murray and the Carpenters , but i also hope to find some studio albums on vinyl that are still missing from my Barbra Streisand and Anne Murray collection. Furthermore, I don't really know, maybe some other CDs, CD-singles, or vinyl records that I still miss or need for my collection, I hope for some great suprises, and of course I hope to find more CDs from Martina McBride.
If I don't find anything else out of the ordinary, then maybe I hope to find some 70s albums from Cher, since many of those albums still haven't been released on CD, but only if these record are still in great near mint condition
There is something very special about vinyl. I'd be open to getting back into it at some point. I think I'm just putting it off because I know once that floodgate is open there'll be no going back. But I always feel a little excited when I see pictures of people's LPs!!
Great minds think alike, PC.
Well, happy hunting and I hope you'll let me know what you find there!!!
Yes i know, i just don't know what it is about vinyl records but they have always played a huge part of my life, even before cds came out.
Yes indeed, great minds alike.
Thanks @Mel O'Drama, and of course I will place my music purchases here on this topic.
Today I went to the Record fair, it was very crowded so I could not really look good everywhere, but I am happy with my new purchases.
I found some Barbra Streisand vinyl albums.
A few 7-inch singles
And two Reba McEntire cd's.
These look wonderful PC. Great that you found them after you said you were hoping to find some Barbra and Carpenters. Enjoy!!
Very nice. I imagine Reba is great live so that's a real find.
Thanks @Mel O'Drama, yes these records are really wonderful, and i'm glad that i found these records. And I was very surprised how good these records still were, they still looked good almost like new, the single covers looked a bit used, but after all it's about condition of the record itself , and I was very surprised when I find out that the b-side of the single "He Touche Me" there was as song that I never had heard off before, that was certainly a surprise to me.
Yes i beliee Reba is great lvie to, i hope she will release a new live cd someday. But I knew about this live album from Reba, but I always postponed buying it, but now I could buy it for a nice price, and all two CDs still looking great, almost as new, can't wait to hear those cd's.
Fantastic. Yes, it's nice you found records that have been so well looked after.
That's a real bonus.
It made me smile how the two song titles link in with each other. As though she likes him because he touched her.
Well enjoy the anticipation... and the CDs!
Yes indeed, i love records that's still looking good after all these years.
That's a bonus indeed and I love the new song "I Like Him", both songs do link indeed very well to each other.
Thanks @Mel O'Drama i will, and as soon as Reba's new album comes out, I will post my entire collection of Reba McEntire on my topic.
Oh yes please. I'll look forward to it.

I bought the original (truncated - like most movie soundtracks) soundtrack release on vinyl back when it was first released. I bought the CD version of the original soundtrack (with tracks deleted to fit onto one disc) when that was first released. I bought the Rhino two disc release which includes most of the score plus extended and alternate versions. I bought the two disc recording of most of the score performed by John Debney conducting the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (faithful interpretations but - because it was recorded recently - much better sound quality). And now this: La-La Land Records remastered edition which includes more tracks than any previous release over two discs plus a third disc containing a remaster of the 1978 soundtrack release (because some completists - such as myself - would have it no other way). I'm a Scorpio, when I love something, I really love it.
