The S&D channel is up and running again.
Thanks. It's a treat to have them back in decent quality, and I'll be cracking on with Episode 75 hopefully tonight.
Maybe we need an 'Eyewear on Sons & Daughters' thread??
Abby Ewing always looked like that, with or without glasses.
Actually, there was a Knots-y situation going on when more and more people started to confront Patricia with her secret (the affair), like they did with Abby and her knowledge of the kidnapping.
I don't know how long they can keep it up, but it's interesting how they move the pieces on around on the chessboard without it feeling too contrived. But so far the way the characters move from location to location, and their reasons for doing so, mostly feel relatively organic. For a soap anyway.
lol, to me she always looked like she just got back from a ski trip. One where there was quite hot sun and she wore a ski glasses the whole time.
Yes, there's a lot of painfully obvious plotting going on, but the performances and the sense of improvisation make it look vibrant and sort of for real.
This was my very own Abby back in the day...
Now I cant tell what the last episode I watched was.... ???
Are you signed in on YouTube? If so you can view your history.
We are not your secretary, Alexis
I feel like you are, Wilber.
It's Willie, ma'am.
But whatever, because Paul Shepherd has arrived! And Patricia's still searching for him.
Various problems are being created to delay Rob and Angela's wedding, and David and Gordon hate each other more than ever.
David receives good news about his job, but there might be strings attached.
Wayne has accepted to do Hal Mason's dirty work, needless to say he's tailor-made for a job like that.
It's time for Patricia to come home, she needs to be involved in all the drama.
Please pause your viewing until I catch up. Thanks.
Sorry, I assumed we were all re-watching S&D.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'll stop posting in this thread. But I'm not going to pause watching the episodes, I couldn't even if I wanted to
For me Sons & Daughters is just a hazy distant memory of the smell of hairspray, cigarette smoke and perfume as my mum got ready in the mornings. I have a similar memory with Knots Landing. I was aware of both shows and watched sporadic episodes and bits over the years but never the full series or even half of it. Sons & Daughters even less so than Knots.
Alternatively - and maybe I'm overstepping the limits of being a humble stenographer - I could tell you to hurry to F up, since you started watching loooong before I did
I'm just too much of a Soap Slut though, Willmott. I have not just been watching Sons & Daughters, there has also been Sunset Beach, Dark Shadows, Return To Eden, Melrose Place, and A Place To Call Home.
I get busy....
Seriously now, should we do 2 Watching S&D threads? One for first-time watching and the other for the re-watchers? Not that I remember everything that happened, but I don't care about spoilers since I probably wouldn't have a clue what it's all about. Or at least I'd get excited about all those things to come.
No I don't think two threads is really needed. I should catch up soon enough once I have a few days off.
