The tournament starts next week, who are you supporting to win?

I'd love Venus Williams to win but she hasn't been very consistent this year. I would be happy if Serena won but I think she might not yet be at her best since coming back after becoming a mother. If it's not one of those 2, I'd like Sloane Stevens to retain her title.

In the men's competition, I'd like Rafa Nadal to win.

Woman's tennis doesn't do it for me and also think if they want equality with men they should play 5 sets too- that's fair! 3 isn't

For the men - Federer and ever since a brilliant Wimbledon semi final in 2013, Ive really liked Juan Martin Del Potro - he has come thro a lot and surgery on his wrists etc but I love his tennis

I'm the opposite in that I prefer women's tennis over the men's game. Women generally play longer rallies which makes the games more interesting.

Prize money should be determined by the amount of money the game generates and women's tennis attracts as much sponsorship and crowds as the men's game. The women did offer to play 5 sets but organisers felt they couldn't fit all the games into the grand slam format. I think it's more likely that the men will drop down to 3 sets if they have a problem with playing more games.

I love the women's game also, I meant that I wasn't bothered which woman won the US open.

Congratulations to Naomi Osaka for winning her 1st grand slam but she didnt look like she was enjoying it and she should have been estatic

and as for Serena - control your temper!! Not a pretty display and her coach admitted to coaching her

and Come on Del Potro !! After all his injuries, I hope he does it!
