Discussion in 'Dallas - The Original Series' started by Toni, May 18, 2019.
Another excellent video Toni! This one was really fun and as usual a great trip down memory lane.
Here is this week´s video, devoted to the best dialogues from "Falcon Crest", the Lorimar show that followed "Dallas" on Friday nights for a long time. As you all know, it starred Jane Wyman and Lorenzo Lamas in a saga as entangled as the vines that made them millionaires.
Next December the series will celebrate its 38th anniversary, and we have to regret that TPTB have only released, so far, two of its nine seasons on DVD, plus Season 3 on demand and Season 4 available on iTunes.
Despite the low quality of some of these clips (you can use the CC subtitles to better understand the dialogues), I hope you enjoy this video and remember those good old times when every show had its own personality within the subgenre.
"Falcon Crest" was sharp, witty, black-humored, self-conscious and proud of itself. Long live to the show and its actors!!
I want to use this post as a reminder to the "Dynasty" fans about an upcoming video I´m working on for the Top 10 episodes. If you want to vote for your favorites, go to this thread and do it. Thanks in advance!
And now, for this week´s second video, in this case, presenting the 10 best performances in the history of "Knots Landing". Guess who´s on top...?
I loved this one Toni! Great memories of some classic scenes.
Here´s this week´s video with the trivia subject of "Top 22 Actors Who Started on the Supersoaps". This doesn´t include those who already had a professional career behind or those who left acting a few years after their debuts. As usual, I´m taking into account the 4 major soaps. I hope you like the video!
Time for a new video and for jumping into the crazy but glamorous world of Supersoaps, this time to remember the most glamorous parties we could attend during the 80s! Enjoy the video!
Voilà the Parties video again, this time dubbed into a perfect Spanish. So if you want to know how to say in my language such words as "scum", "tramp" or "bastard", just click down and watch it!
Finally our SoapChat is back...and my Supersoaps videos too...Next is...
"Top 12+1 Supersoap Characters who outstayed their welcome". You know them, you fear them, you fast-forward their scenes...because they just weren´t the fabulous characters you watched the shows for. And sometimes they seemed not to want to leave for anything in the world. Don´t miss the video: you might get a few laughs at some point of it!
I thoroughly enjoyed this Outstayed Your Welcome vid which I watched yesterday. Too bloody right about the Beaumonts.
I'd have had a 'Those who shoulda effed off in front of a bus' theme.
Lol! If you knew how often I had you (and that tramp you and I know!) in my mind when I was making the video...But she could and will top other kind of Tops...
I'm honoured Piggy.
Now on to the Flying Slutmonkeys video!
This weekend´s video is another Top Ten Best Dallas episodes! I hope you enjoy i! And that YouTube keeps it on!
Voilà my newest Top 10 video, this time for the best scenes without dialogues from "Knots Landing". And I don´t mean without "words" (there are a few words here and there, but no actual "dialogue", as well as some songs too, which of course include words in their lyrics). Enjoy the video in the 40th anniversary of the cul-de-sac saga!!
Here is this week´s first video, celebrating the Top 10 jinxed weddings in the Supersoaps. I hope you like it (if it "disappears", I´ll upload it somewhere else...). I tried to make my own "restoration" to some of the clips though I´m afraid it´s not too sophisticated...
Here is the second video of this week. Now it´s time to remember which "Dallas" episodes were ranked the lowest at the time. No, it won´t be strictly as it sounds, otherwise, there would only be entries from the last two seasons. In the early days, they were still struggling for the audience and some episodes really got low numbers. Then, after the golden days, a wet Bobby came back from the dead, and it seemed as if all would be a bed of roses again, but obviously, it wasn´t!
I did a bit of research on the episodes that were placed worst in those last 5 years based on the Nielsen rankings and ratings, and this is the (hopefully) representative result. Remember that neither ratings nor my videos are exact sciences! Anyway, you know what is to be expected here: maybe the Stevens sisters here, James Beaumont there, Pam disco dancing over there, and also Miss Ellie Fletcher and Fake Pam too! I hope you enjoy it!
