You do know that no one is accountable for making an entry into every theme we do right? You are allowed to pick and choose which ones you want to take part in. And the best thing is, you can vote without making any nominations.

    (Nicki French version)

These are the only classic or traditional Christmas songs I've nominated so all I have to do is copy 20 songs from my old lists.

It's worth a shot, there may be one or two little gems that we missed back then because we were all crying at Last Christmas.

We usually, finish the year off with a 'best of' from that year which tends to go on over a couple of weeks depending on who is around during the festive season.

To contrast those two Grinches, I will say this: I think this is one of the most brilliant themes we've had.

Just for clarity, are we omitting any version of these songs or the versions by the artists specified.

    I'm fine either way.

    To answer these two...

Unless it says "any artist" behind the song title, then a rare cover is ok. Some songs have the by any artist tag because the songs in themselves are too classic. Silent Night and O Holy Night for example. Even if you tape yourself singing Silent Night, it's not ok to nominate it.

I don't believe that you can nominate yourself singing and pretending it was sung by someone else. Jesus doesn't like liars. I think it was Jesus that was against lying. Or was it God? Ah, yes. It was God himself. He told Moses and now we aren't allowed to lie or pass off our work as someone else's.

I can only recall one occasion when a participant nominated a song they sang themselves although she didn't pretend it was sung by someone else.

We will finish off another year in the same style as we always do.

    Best of 2018.png

That can be 20 songs that were released this year and won you over or 20 songs that you discovered in 2019 thanks to happenings on Soap Chat.

Or a combination of the two.

I have something very special for you all and it won't be that long either?

Just what can be special and only need about 8 seconds before you finish?
