Feel free to link this thread to the nuDynasty thread.

Should Adam and Amanda be included in nuDynasty as well? Based on the fact that it seems that the new producers of nuDynasty have done their research on the original series on all eras of the show: From the inclusion of Matthew to Monica (now Monique) who came on the show years after Matthew left Denver
It would seem that perhaps Adam and Amanda might pop up.

We know that Adam and Amanda only arrived on the show to replace Steven and Fallon respectively, but how about avoiding that and include them? Maybe Adam and Amanda live with Alexis in England, Adam being the only child Alexis could get to and Alexis was pregnant with Amanda without Blake knowing.

Will the two lost Carrington siblings show up at all?

I could see Adam popping up because he's such a wastly different character than both Steven and Fallon.

Amanda meanwhile was just the daughter that Blake adored that pouted a lot. I don't see any use for her and neither did the original writers considering she was never mentioned again after Blake explained she went to England...

I hope they redo the kidnapped baby storyline as it adds history to Blake's character (and Alexis too, whenever she shows up).
But of course it doesn't have to be exactly as it was on the original show.

Maybe a 8 months pregnant Alexis could've been at the mall where she met a strange lady who lured her into a secluded place and then cut baby Adam out with her car keys (hey, it's happened!) - miraculously Alexis survived, but the lady and baby Adam were never found.

Blake never could forgive Alexis for being so careless.

    2017 I think (unless it is 2016)
The Adam storyline was part of the original Bible the Pollocks brought to the show in season 2--for them, it defined Alexis' and Blake's drifting apart. I remember a rare interview with them complaining about Spelling and Cramer (because they usually kissed up to them) delaying the introduction of Adam for budget reasons because the cast could not support another one, but frankly his introduction was fine for season 3. Too much was happening in season 2 already.

Amanda was clearly a Fallon substitute, and while I liked her, her whole presence (oh look, Alexis has a daughter hidden for 18 years) was too much a jumping the shark moment.

Maybe it doesn't even matter that she was such an obvious replacement Carrington heir, as long as they did it in a compelling way.
And quite frankly, I don't think they did.
Well of course there was that "little bitch" moment (fakest slap ever, btw) but after that they basically rehashed Adam's storyline - trying to figure out how to fit in.
I found most of it rather boring and I've always struggled to care for Amanda.

How would you have made it compelling? :)

That's really interesting, I didn't know that. It would have been better if they'd at least hinted at Adam's existence in season 2 to prepare for his introduction later. They did that with both Ben and Amanda, and it made the introduction of a new family member less jarring.

But they did talk about Adam in season 2. It was when Blake found out that Alexis killed his and Krystle's baby.

Yes, 2.20 The Shakedown. I believe it was the final scene?

I'd never heard that either. And I agree with you that the delay was better.

I can't even imagine their bringing in Adam so fast and during Season 2. Perhaps this is a rare, early example of the brass constraining the Pollocks' tone deaf impulses -- which may be why it resulted in a rare complaint from them against Spelling and Cramer.

I missed that, but you're quite right - I just re-watched it. Though the implication is that he died, rather than being kidnapped.
