It's on at 2:30am in the UK
This may just be the best episode I have seen yet. When we saw that it was Abraham and not an original character I was a bit let down but then relieved. But then.....he kills Glen too! Did Negan kill Glenn too because Daryl reacted? I wasn't quite sure about that? Negan said something about I said no reaction?
It was so on the edge of my seat suspenseful....Negan truly is the most evil character they had on this show ever.
I really don't know what else to say right now...I am still processing it all.
It really pulled at me when they showed them at the end all sitting around the dinner table and Glenn was holding his child. I will miss Abraham I did like him but Glenn....I didn't think it would be Glenn what a shock to the system and poor Maggie!
If this episode is any indication to what we are in for it's gonna be a wild ride!
The episode was the most heartbreaking, and devastating show I ever saw on TV.
I feel bad for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) did amazing acting. I hated seeing Negan belittle him so much. I will say Negan is beyond evil, I hope Rick or Daryl get to kill him.
The death scenes were horrible, and it was so realistic. I love when Abe gave Negan one of his witty quotes before he died. He starts in on Rosita and Daryl jumped up at Negan. I thought oh my God Daryl is dead but he doesn't kill Daryl he kills Glenn. I couldn't believe it Negan to me is a coward killing people while they are knelling, and their weapons taken away. It was so sad when Glenn said " I will find you" I just think both deaths were horrible what a way to die.
Negan drags Rick around than he almost made him cut off Carl's arm. I'm glad he didn't but Carl is really brave.
The ending seeing everyone leaving the remaining group members alone with the bodies. I felt bad for Maggie but you can see Rick will want to back down from being the Leader now.
What is going to happen to Daryl? I hope the writers don't make Daryl become friends with Negan because that would ruin Daryl's character.
Fans are blaming Daryl for Glenn's death. I guess technically he tried to stop Negan, and Negan killed Glenn for it. The blame is on Negan not Daryl.
I was not thrilled with this. The fact they dragged it out another 30 minutes was irritating. Some likened it to "torture porn" and I do think they have a point, the gore and blood almost went to a "Saw level" - it felt gimmicky. Daryl separated from the group yet again? I'm not that interested in another round of that.
I really enjoyed it. The build-up to revealing who died was what made it even more tense. I loved how they used flashback to tease the viewer with who it might be.
The is a show about zombies eating the living, it's not going to be about a group of friends going out on the town having drinks and affairs and maybe a suspicious death.
Yes, that's exactly why Negan killed Glenn, and also to make the point that no one goes against him.
They're really making the viewer despise Negan, much more than the Governor.
I think Maggie might be behind the fall-down of Negan.
I understand that. I wasn't thrilled with it, but I still think over-all it was a good episode. They have crafted an intelligent show for the last six years without this level of gore - the show could have been just as effective without it and I think it had potential to be better without the gross-outs, and the flashbacks felt a bit like a gimmick just like Glenn's supposed death felt gimmicky last year. I'm still interested in how it proceeds and hope these things aren't here to stay.
Maybe I've just become immune to it all lol
If anything I thought this was getting tame compared to GAME OF THRONES
I think I see your point here, but for me I just loved how they built up that scene. It was like slowly unwrapping a present that you've been waiting around 4 months to open.
I read today that the UK broadcast of this episode was edited, they cut out Glenn's final line, stating it was too gruesome for our TV.
So getting to see Abraham's and Glenn's head smashed wasn't to gory for the UK? But Glenn with his eye popped out saying Maggie I find you was?
I hope we get tons more gore and blood...bring it on!
So no-one is bothered by Glenn's gruesome death? I nearly stopped watching.
No not at all! It's a show about people rising from the dead and killing others as well as a show about how people in general are turning into savages themselves.
It's doing exactly what I want a show about zombies to do.
I can't even begin to process why someone would quit a show based on one character leaving. Do you not watch this show based on the ensemble cast and heart racing story-lines?
It's the way how he died that bothered me. I thought it was too gruesome. I don't think I can be objective here, he was my favorite character from day 1. I think there is only 'so much' I can take, maybe this isn't the right show for me. Each character can die any time and I wonder if some day the show is left with 0 interesting characters.
I've read many comments about how gruesome his death was and I've never been able to understand why this particular death is singled out when we have seen so much violent deaths on this show.
Maybe it's because he died in a gruesome way from another living person as apposed to a walker doing the deed.
I always have favourite characters too, but I can live with losing them if that's the way the story is moving. Of course, I'm always gutted to see favourites written out and even more-so when they're killed off.
I really don't believe this would happen, but in the notion that it could happen, it does feel kinda exciting, in a dark way.
