I like it :) I know Dallas had a massive impact not only on Romania but the world. I'm excited :) And he dies and comes back! Again!

Pleased that my little corner of the world got a mention in the article in relation to the event at SF in 2008. I was there :)

I think it looks like great fun :) I wonder is that the Romanian model of Southfork - it's surrounded by trees. I know there is a replica model over there.

I'm not sure why but I think this genre reminds me of the ABBA movie from the 1970s when they were playing themselves on tour and a reporter was following them around trying to get an interview.

Of course the difference being that Patrick will be playing Bobby in this.

Seems like some sort of breed between fiction/non-fiction with some sort of social depth in it. Should be interesting to watch.

I remember parts of the ABBA movie :) Somehow, I don't think that it can be compared to "Hotel Dallas". :giggle:

Apparently, it only took about a day's work in Los Angeles for Patrick Duffy to shoot the parts of the movie that he is in! And from what I could gather, he only got a bottle of wine for his work! ;)

Well I'll have to see the Hotel Dallas movie to be able to see for myself if it's anything like the ABBA movie. I was just saying that the genre seemed a bit similar with a blur between fiction and real life. But maybe I've got the Hotel Dallas thing all wrong. Maybe it's nothing like that after all. I must confess I didn't actually watch Patrick's interview about it yet...

I haven't seen the ABBA movie but stars playing versions of themselves on screen is really a grand tradition. Frank Sinatra did it as far back as 1943 in Higher and Higher.
