Why is she bullying Denise like this?
Because she loves her.
Because she's a bully is my guess.
How do you work that one out?
Do you not think what Kim said to Denise was harsh? 'You're dead to me'. What kind of a psychopath says things like that???
It's Denise's baby to do with as she pleases.
Sometimes people say harsh things out of love. It doesn't necessarily make them a psychopath.
But Denise hanging on to a baby she doesn't want to raise isn't good for either Denise or the baby surely?
I understand Kim's shock and hurt but she should get past it to support Denise's decision.
People doing what they "should" doesn't necessarily make for good drama.
@James from London do you still stand by your opinion that Kim isn't a psychopath? Waving around those tit pads, she should be ashamed! I'm glad Denise told her straight at the end. That was a glorious scene.
Yes, I do.
Yes, it was.
Absolutely loathe Kim with a passion.
But she's making D's life hell and that's the sort of thing psychopaths do. Michael Moon for example used to get on Ronnie's case, then tried to ruin Janine.
Diane Parish was brilliant. That end scene was superb.
Ah, Michael. Michael was brilliant.
I so miss Michael. It was that grin and the fact he used to get turned on by being beaten up by the likes of Derek. I just loved his relationship with Janine and his put downs on Joey were highly amusing.
I'm not sure Kim's behaviour towards Denise this week would have been quite as moving had it not been for how she behaved a few weeks ago when you were calling her a psychopath.
@James from London it is not okay to bully someone as long as you at some point in the future regret your actions.
it was a sweet scene though, but I would have liked Kim to have apologised.
Oh I loved the whole thing. I love the way Kim's character can inhabit both extremes of behaviour.
Nasty Kim? Not at all.
Kim wasn't really bullying Denise, she was acting out of love for her sister and her nephew. Yes, it was Denise's decision to give away her son but that doesn't mean Kim has to agree with it and can't do what she think is best for the family. Kim genuinely believed that Denise was making a mistake and was doing everything she could to get her to change her mind. Her actions were not motivated by malice or self interest but by love.
I really like the relationship between Kim and Denise in how they can fight constantly but always have a deep underlining affection for each other.
Yes, love is messy. It doesn't always follow a strict moral code of behaviour (especially in drama).
Characters are normally drama or comedy. Having both is jarring. The real Kim is the one who buffooned about during the pancake race (as she has been comedy more than drama over the yrs so I assume that is the real personality and not the fake one), not the one shouting the odds at Denise, and even then I do not always find her very funny. She is adored on Twitter though however they write her.
