In your opinion who was the number one attorney?
I liked Greg and he would be my choice but Phillip the old coot was a great match with Angela.
Although Phillip was old school and more flexible for Angela than Greg IMHO Simon MacCorkindale's character was the better attorney. Greg gets another vote.
Angela has just returned to her mansion, after her morning walk in the vineyards. She is expecting a delivery of fertiliser. The fertiliser supplier arrives in his truck. This man farms horses and will soon become her attorney, (a scene from season 4, 1984 - '85):
Greg: "Mrs. Channing."
Angela: "Are you the man with the fertiliser?"
Greg: "Well as a matter of fact I do have a good supply of it."
Angela: "Take it around by the gardener's shed, would you please."
Greg: "Since you asked my name is Greg Reardon."
Greg parks up his truck.
Angela: "I've heard of you. I didn't like what I heard and I certainly don't like what I see."
Greg then takes the opportunity to talk about his experience and education.
I really liked Philip, mainly because he had no morals and would happily break the law to enable Angela to get her way which made him a really interesting character. However, Greg was more loyal and gave Angela sounder independent advice rather than just going along with what she wanted which made him the better attorney.
Greg the clear winner.
