Monica Lewinsky Stormed Offstage When Asked an 'Off Limits' Question About Bill Clinton
She called the question a "blatant disregard for our agreement."

(JERUSALEM) — Monica Lewinsky said Tuesday that she stormed offstage at a Jerusalem speaking event because of an interviewer’s “off limits” question about former President Bill Clinton.

The former White House intern turned anti-bullying activist tweeted that there were agreed-upon parameters regarding the topics of her televised conversation Monday night with a well-known Israeli news anchor, following a speech she gave about the perils of the internet.

She called Yonit Levi’s first question about her relationship with Clinton a “blatant disregard for our agreement.”

Levi, the main anchor of Israel’s top-rated evening newscast, asked Lewinsky if she still expected a personal apology from Clinton over the fallout from the scandal of their affair 20 years ago. Lewinsky responded: “I’m so sorry. I’m not going to be able to do this.” She then put down her microphone and walked offstage.

Levi anxiously followed her offstage as some of the stunned audience awkwardly clapped.

In a tweet several hours later, Lewinsky said she had been misled.

“In fact, the exact question the interviewer asked first, she had put to me when we met the day prior. I said that was off limits,” she explained. “I left because it is more important than ever for women to stand up for themselves and not allow others to control their narrative. To the audience: I’m very sorry that this talk had to end this way.”

Levi’s employer, the Israeli News Company, said it did its utmost to abide by all agreements made with Lewinsky.

“The question asked was legitimate, worthy and respectful and in no way deviated from Ms. Lewinsky’s request,” said company spokesman Alon Shani.

Clinton recently came under fire for responding defensively to questions in an NBC interview about his sexual relationship with the White House intern in 1998. He insisted he did not owe her a personal apology since he had already repeatedly apologized publicly. Clinton’s affair with Lewinsky helped lead to his impeachment.

Lewinsky, who for years kept quiet about the relationship before re-emerging as a public speaker, wrote in March that their relationship “was not sexual assault” but “constituted a gross abuse of power.”

Such as calling them a "b!tch" or a "c*nt," as you've done on several occasions. But then again, projection has always been your thing.

You're also trying to shame Monica for speaking in public, which is also misogyny. Bill treated women like dogs while Hillary looked the other way, but you still support that trash.

Remember when Hillary accused women who didn't vote for her of internalized misogyny, and then she endorsed Andrew Cuomo over Cynthia Nixon? LMAO, what a fraud!

Is anyone else just dying to hear Frank Underwood make the argument that Kellyanne Conway isn’t, in fact, a b!tchy c*nt? Monica Lewinsky, on the other hand, is best described as a fame/attention whore. Yes, I just said it. And unlike some people, I own it.

Did Bill Clinton actually treat women like dogs? And is Monica Lewinsky actually an attention whore?

I have no love for Kellyanne Conway, but my argument has nothing to do with her character. The point I'm making is that you're using slurs that are intended specifically for women, yet you call me a misogynist simply because I'm not a fan or supporter of Hillary Clinton. It's an especially foolish statement to make, considering I'm a Jill Stein supporter. I put up posts joking about Hillary "outsourcing" her job to Monica, and Monica saying a Clinton left a bad taste in her mouth, yet you find a way to twist that into a form of misogyny. Get real. I posted those memes because that's all you ever post in response to me, and also to highlight how you're criticizing so-called "fame whore" Monica. Funny how you don't have anything bad to say about the guy who originally lied about having sexual relations with "that woman" or his wife that put up with it. But what do I know. You're obviously the misogyny expert around here.
