A new series on Netflix I'm really enjoying...and I'm not a religious person. I like how the series - so far - is allowing the viewer to decide if this man is real or a con man.

This is also on my to-watch-list.

I had just started with the new DRACULA series and at first I appreciated its oddball approach but of course they couldn't resist pushing the envelope.
Knowing what's going to happen in episode 3 (IMDB review) I'm glad I stopped watching before I finished episode 1.

    So, Messiah it is...

Don't get your hopes up. 5 episodes in and I have come to the conclusion that Messiah is just a long, boring, pondering bluff of nothingness. It seems somehow to be a compelling drama. That's what it's touting itself as. However it's all a bit silly and is starting to wear thin after 5 episodes.

It gaslights you into thinking that it will reveal something extraordinary or at least thought provoking but it's just so dull and self important. I will finish it, as I have started and may be surprised by the end, however I am not that hopeful.

Part of the reason I am still watching.

Eva the female CIA agent is so Kate from LOST. Only not as annoyingly undecisive.

I think of this programme when i saw the title thread from 2001

a rather gory drama of murder, killings, and Apostle spoons featuring Ken Stott

I'm 4 episodes in and I totally agree with you. I was beginning to think I was missing something because frankly I was getting a little bored with the series and find it quite slow moving. You can watch a complete 50 minute episode and the storyline barely moves forward in that time. However, I've got to the point of no return in that I've watched too much of it now to completely abandon watching for fear that I might miss out if it turns good in the final episodes.

I've now finished watching this and the second half of the series picks up the pace and is much better than the first half. Overall, it was not the borefest that I thought it was after watching the first few episodes and there were some really good moments and times when I was eager to watch the next episode to see how things resolve themselves.

The posters advertising the series state "Will He Convert You? Will He Con You". I didn't think I would say this but it has converted me to think it's not a bad series after all.

That's good to hear. I will finish it off then. My brother had also told me it gets better as it goes on.

I think it would have been better had it been a 90 minute film than drawing the story out over 10 45 mins episodes.

I loved this show, I thought it was great. Like Homelands meets Jesus.

    I can't wait for season 2.

I liked the show too. I finished it a few days ago, and it was really to my taste.
