She talks Dean, Brando and with great authority on Emily Dickinson.

A natural storyteller. It's easy to see how she could command the stage.

What a find! To think that's just three years before she first appeared as Lilimae. One always thinks of Lilimae as a (relatively) old woman, yet Harris looks like a child of the 60s here. And in comparison, her accent sounds almost English.

Fascinating to hear about her affinity with Emily Dickinson. I wonder if she ever recorded 'Much madness is divinest sense', the poem Steven Carrington read to Claudia in that library scene.

And the play she was doing was written by Charles Nelson Reilly! As in ...

Wow, imagine, that's the kind of thing ITV used to show in the afternoons! Loose Women it ain't.

I've never seen her interviewed before. She's quite enchanting, isn't she?

Oh, Thames TV have a great YouTube channel, onto which they upload all kinds of long forgotten gems. Interviews, old science spots (such as the 1984 video showing how to send an email) and vintage cityscapes. I love all the 1970s car road tests, which was how I found the channel in the first place.

The JH interview was only added to their channel a day or so ago, and popped up in my suggestions.

Yes - that struck me too. After watching I worked how old she was, and she'd have been around 54 here. Which is old enough to be a grandmother, but she looks very youthful indeed. Lilimae had a sprightly energy, but she never looked anywhere near this young.

Which is always a good thing!!

    She certainly is.

This is really crazy. Looks like 20-30 years apart. Long hair makes so much difference
