Thanks Karin ❤ here is a cute josh and Julie picture for you
Thanks Shan. Josh really was perfectly cast as John Ross and worked so well with Linda.
Also you have probably seen this video I've made before but I figured I'd add it here anyway:
You are welcome karin and your videos are awesome
these two could have been something if it was written different but I did like john ross with Pamela before threesome but Elena could have been written better
Thank you Shan.
I agree with you about Elena & John Ross. I liked them originally and were looking forward to their wedding for all of 20 minutes before her mom handed back the engagement ring.
The threesome was another huge mistake. I hate the way they ruined PamBecca & John Ross as a couple just when I had started to root for them.
Anyway here's another photo:
I always liked heather and christopher
Me too. If the writers had been smart they would have realized that they worked together and brought back Heather for season four instead of killing off Christopher.
I think Heather & Chris worked as a couple. It was in fact his best match on the show IMHO.
I originally liked Rebecca & Christopher too before I knew for sure they were cousins. Okay not by blood but still that sort of ruined the couple for me.
Anyway I know you like them so here's a Chris & Rebecca photo too:
Hear is another Chris and heather pick
Thins karin Hear is another crisp and heather picture
Thanks for the cute Chris & Heather photos Shan.
Here's another Rebecca & Christopher one:
This could as well be out of a toothpaste commercial.
This was my problem, the rivalry was written wrong from the start. Here was how I'd have done it:
1) John Ross would have been more like Jock, tough wildcatter willing to play rough but a good man willing to work the ranch and the riggs. Bobby would have been left in admiration and JR think he's weak. I'd have had Miss Ellie work out a deal with Bobby so the ranch goes to John Ross after Bobby. And JR promising him Ewing Oil after he stole it from Bobby and sue Ellen and had merged it with West Star. But I'd have him happy with his own investments (wildcatting with his own oil services company, maybe a former navy seal and a paramilitary company, and a sizable inheritance from Clayton and Dusty) I'd also have him along with his mom and grandma creating a foundation and working with poor kids.
2) Christopher would have been the scientist/nerd with a chip on his shoulder trying to prove himself the better man at any cost. Bobby would be left hurt, John Ross would always be there for his cousin and JR would be proud. Christopher would snag him a piece of JRs Ewing Oil after taking over his mother and aunts estates and pushing his uncle out of the way. Him and Pamela would be enemies from the start as he tries to take her fathers estate as well. But this Pamela would be his equal in business.
Add to that Rays kids: Lucas as the young pup trying to prove himself as well and Margaret the political operative always trying to do the right thing and help out her brother and you'd have Dallas. The Barnes feud over, except for JR dislike of his daughter in law and the Krebs fued just starting with everyone waiting for the big reveal on Lucas biological father as he is takes on Christopher to control Ewing Oil with John Ross caught in the middle.
I'd have also brought in Callys son or daughter at some point but the focus would be on John Ross, Christopher and Lucas - the man you love (the good), the man you love to hate (the bad) and the man you hate to love (the ugly - at least inside). Well that would have been my idea.
I though it was aweful but could have been great. They could have used it to show Chris as the JR character who didn't care about Elena but used her to hurt John Ross. They could have shown Elena to be stupid and niave instead of trying to make her the wronged party. Good idea - wrong excecution.
One scene they forgot: after the fire John Ross pins Bobby to the wall and says, "I don't give a shit what you think about me. I'll protect my mother even from herself. Even from you. You left her here, alone when she needed help, and I let you. I'll never make that mistake again!" That would have made me feel so much better about the things that went down and reminded me of the little boy who loved his momma no matter what - what she did to herself.
I would have left her used by Chris and regretting what happened but it be too late to fix and John Ross had found Pamela - and a love triangle is created. Elena loves John Ross and John Ross loves Elena but he's not in love with her he's in love with Pamela who loves him. Elena could have been Alexis - always trying to get her man back. But I'd have left her with Christopher always breaking her heart. Again good set up - bad follow through.
I'm a bit confused. Was this a scene that was actually in an episode of Dallas TNT or a scene that you thought should have been in Dallas TNT?
I have a vague memory of John Ross and Bobby talking after the fire but what they talked about escapes me.
What they should have done with that scene imo. John Ross always came off weak and evil when what I wanted was strong and capable (more Jock when they tried to make him a weak JR).
Jock married to Angela Channing. Now that's one Ewing man that could have handled her.
