One of the most famous outspoken feminists in Sweden today is handball pro Linnea Claeson. She has an Instagram account named Assholesonline. There she posts screen captures of all the sex-related messages she gets on her phone or on Messenger etc by men that she has never met.
Often, it's dic*pics followed by comments about wanting to do this or that with her. She then replies with snarky or smart remarks, and the guys replies back that she's an ugly w*ore, or whatever.

Today, she posted her story of growing up with these "innocent" harrassments by boys and men on her personal Insta. While it was a sad reading, I think many many many girls can recognize themselves. I know I could.
    https://www.instagram.com/p/Ba3bC9envtY/?hl=sv&taken-by=linneaclaeson

Here's a recap of what she writes today, translated to English:

I'm 4 years old and 2 boys hold me tight and kisses me. The teacher says that boys are like that and that they are in love with me.
At 5, the boys start to show their penises to me.
At 6, older boys grab my butt and screams ballaballa.
At 7, the older boys say I'm pretty, but that I talk too much for being a girl you want to be with.
At 8, I wear my new leather pants at a school disco with pink hairspray and I feel very pretty - boys 3 years my senior call me Leather w*ore.
At 9, a man approaches me at a market, telling me he wants to have sex with me.
At 10, the boys in class ranks the girls' bodies from 1-5, runs in to our dressing room and I get called w*ore, even though I have never kissed anyone.
At 11, an old man jacks off in his video cam on MSN and tries to trick me into sending him photos.
At 12, I get pulled in my bra straps almost on daily basis, and get my pants pulled down in the hallway by 15 year old boys. The boys in my class draws pictures of my undies and show everyone - black strings in lace with flowers on.
At 13, I get love letters in my locker with comments on my looks, and asking for sex or relationships. The 9th grade boys shouts names at me in the hallway. The word "w*ore" is written in black ink on my locker.
Now, at 25, it just never ends. Thousands of things. Thousands of experiences of sexual violence in different grades of seriousness. In preschool, at shool, in the handball arena, at the bus, parties, the internet, the subway, the pub, on concerts, at work and in relationships. I am often scared, sad, angry and broken. I try to be brave, strong, and fight. For me as a child - for children now. No f-ing one shall be able to touch our children. And no child should be forced to live through the hell that I had to.

    :cry::cry::cry:

    In Swedish:
Tusentals. #brisidoler #linneaclaeson#assholesonline

Unfortunately, I recognize many of these things.

Boys in my school would also pull my bra straps.
Boys in my school would also rank us girls by our appearances - aloud, in front of everyone.
Boys in my school would also grab my butt and breats.
Boys in my school would also show their penises in front of girls, when taking them aside - one on one.
Boys in my school would also brag to each other when they managed to grab a body part.
Boys in my school would also call girls bad names.
Much older men would also contact us girls on MSN or Lunarstorm and jack off to our profile pictures.
Much older men would also send dic*pics to young girls.
Much older men would also ask for nude pictures over the Internet.
Older boys would also try to have sex with way too young girls.
Adults at school would also never take it seriously. "Boys will be boys, they like you - don't worry about it".

Is it any wonder why we adult girls are ANGRY today -- now that we have finally realized that we were never alone? That it happened on and on and on to so many of us. That no adult realized how humiliated and small we felt!!!

And that's why I think your opinions on this matter is completely disgusting.
Do you care at all what young girls feel when they are treated like this? Do you think they should be flattered? Or do you think this treatment is perfectly ok?

Why is it that when this debate is held, some people try their best to misunderstand and belittle the cause?
In no way has anyone said it's ALL men.
A big majority of the men I know are absolutely terrific. And they know the difference between flirting and harrassment. They also support the #metoo campaign. :D

The silly method, eh? Debate is one thing, harrassment is something you obviously have never experienced, or you would never have made that comment in a thread like this. Good for you! But just because you've never been harrassed doesn't mean that applies to everyone.

What you are doing here is using classic school book rule techniques 101: ridiculing. I hear you are famous for it. But remember: I am a high school teacher -- I handle the likes of that every single week. It's just annoying, but it's child's play compared to the more serious problems we deal with.

    The thread is silly.
It's obvious I have never been harassed? How so? You know very little about me.

I wonder who actually reads to whole text by Linnea above and actually PONDERS what she says. Who thinks back: what have I seen? Who wonders how many of the girls they see walking about in town who are currently being harrassed in school. Who actually takes these stories SERIOUSLY.

    So "ridiculing" triggers you?

Well, since your righteously indignant responses rarely seem to have much to do with our posts, I seriously have to consider you're the one not doing any reading.

Have you even bothered reading through the first post?
If yes; then it's beyond me why you would belittle her story by making a crude joke that "Well that's it then. All men need to be eradicated. End of."
My conclusion is that one of the following applies to you:
    1. You have never actually felt harrassed, for real.
    2. You suffer from psychopathy and can feel no empathy for others.
    3. You support the Trump-side that it's okay to "grab em by the kitty"
    4. You think everyone who opens up about their #metoo story is a liar.

I chose to believe in #1. The other options are just too bad to assume.

Anyone could come up with a list of times we felt bad in childhood for any number of reasons. Because of how they looked, spoke, were gay, were different, liked Hanson or wore braces. Jesus! Kids are mean. Girls are as mean if not meaner than boys. School is tough for all kids.
This list of butt hurtness is just SILLY!
