I’ve long wondered who got Pam out of the burning car and how. Prob the truck driver. The helicopter sure got there fast, lol.....

I mean, the only way is if it was somehow a "flash fire" that really didn't actually make the entire thing catch actual fire. It makes me think of one of the 9/11 victims who were at the elevators right when the gasoline from the planes caught fire, travelled down the shaft and she got burnt, but survived. I guess something like that could work in theory, but considering she was ramming it into a tank filled with gasoline while in a car also with gasoline it seems unlikely.

Why they went with that cliffhanger if they weren't going to have the guts to kill her off is beyond me... they could've easily put her into less hazardous situation that still would've risked her life and required her to have plastic surgery...

I was under the impression that Cousin Jimmy Monahan swooped in to rescue her, then swooped back out of the show before we could see him

That was cut from the episode for the UK Transmission for some reason. It was never seen in Britain. :(

    I don’t think it’s on the DVD’s, either.

I've literally never seen this scene before. Was it a cut scene?

Edit: I see in the description that it was cut. I don't think it's on the DVD so I'm interested in where it came from.

It was probably supposed to be in the season 11 premiere, hence the tow truck pulling Bobby's crashed car.

I think so. I was wondering where the uploader got the clip from though as it isn't on the DVD. I guess it aired at one point, but it's weird they'd air a scene in reruns that didn't make it into the final episode cut on the DVD.

Maybe they recorded it when it originally aired?

I imagine that the scene must've been placed right before we know the fate of Pamummy, because otherwise it doesn't exactly work. I can see them cutting it because it dramatically didn't work out, but I guess they meant for it to work as juxtaposition of happy family Ray / Jenna and now broken family Pam / Bobby.

I don't recall this scene airing in Australia either. But watching it reminds me how little chemistry Ray and Jenna had.

Correct. They had no chemistry. The producers were just pairing up two characters that really had no ties to the show anymore....

I remember that scene airing during the original run on CBS.
