It has happened to you?
They just revealed the reason why!
Mitchell is out and with Scott but I've still yet to see Sami and Verity. The hot new cop was back for an episode to talk to Nancy. Twitter tells me he is gay but we haven't seen any signs of that yet. I think Warren just figured out that Grace shot Mercedes.
He was in the last two episodes in the UK too. Oh, we saw a photo of Mitchell’s dad this week!
This week was fun with the shocks in the Deveraux family.
Because of coronavirus, Hollyoaks will be reducing episode transmissions to three per week from the week beginning March 30th. They have announced that they will continue to film until they are told to stop.
Warren Fox has just promised his lawyer that he’ll be on his best behaviour but added that he’ll be doing that after he’s murdered his next victim!
“Dear Hollyoaks viewers. It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to pause filming of Hollyoaks.
From Monday 30th March, we will be reducing the number of our weekly new episodes from five down to three, which will air Monday to Wednesday. To make sure we stay on air every week night, fans can look forward to extra special episodes every Thursday and Friday on E4, as we begin a brand new series of 'Hollyoaks Favourites'. Introduced by Kieron Richardson and Jorgie Porter, this series will give viewers a chance to revisit some of our biggest episodes, from weddings, bust-ups, heartbreaks and some of our biggest and best stunts.
We will start the series with Mercedes' fourth wedding, to Dr Browning.
Soaps are an important part of people's lives and we have 25 years of Hollyoaks Favourites to revisit over coming weeks, celebrating the history of the show that you love.
We will remain as present as ever on our social platforms so please keep in touch with us here, stay safe and take care of yourselves. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Love from everyone at Hollyoaks. x”
Jorgie Porter has been confirmed as returning as Theresa McQueen for the 25th anniversary.
There was another murder tonight! And it was directed by one of my favourite Doctor Who/The Sarah Jane Adventures directors, Graeme Harper.
Interesting headline in The Chester Herald.
Why oh why did they kill off Liam? Contract issues? Headwriter or producer without a clue? To me Liam and James were the most entertaining couple the show had since I'm watching parts of it on YT (starting with Ste and Harry). Their relationship was not long enough but I hoped for a comeback. In contrast to James and Harry which I always thought was a bit creepy since Harry was so much younger and a former escort of James' or something like that Liam and him were equal. Equally bad, intelligent and hot. I'll miss Liam and his dancing to the Macarena will be one of daytime soaps most celebrated moments.
Liam was already marked for death. Jude was told nine months before that his character was going to die. He had decided to do about two years anyway. So this was all before Liam was set to hook up with James. Hollyoaks has a few producers. Bryan Kirkwood is the Executive Producer. I don’t mind Harry being younger. Two consenting adults. I don’t miss Harry though.
Nine months before seems fair. I didn't know that.
I wouldn't mind seeing James with a younger partner because that's reality in my world too - we don't live in the US or? LOL. But Harry's actor, as nice and attractive as he is, was a bit limited in acting and that ruined it for me. That became even more evident when he played with James AND Romeo. Romeo isn't a stand-out either (still okay) but compared to Harry he's on Ian McKellen's level.

Ste: "We never see him again."
Clare features in all three episodes of this week’s Hollyoaks Favourites. This week’s episodes are introduced by Matt Littler (Max Cunningham), Gemma Bissix (Clare Devine) and Jamie Lomas (Warren Fox). This week Max finds out that Clare has been tampering with his medication and is trying to kill him. And Clare kidnaps Warren’s sister, Katy.
They had recently only been able to show episodes from 2012 onwards but they have gained clearance to show older episodes now.
I'm really irritated that Hulu isn't showing any of the Favorites episodes over here. They are just showing the two new episodes each week. I was looking forward to seeing some of the older episodes.
Sorry to hear that.
Hollyoaks is resuming filming next month. The previously recorded episodes are due to run out at the end of July. Jamie Lomas (Warren) has promised that cast members have agreed to work overtime and have cancelled holidays in order to get more filming done.
I'm trying to imagine how you do a soap when you are supposed to be six feet apart. I could be wrong but it just feels like it will take out of lot of the drama and really limit character interactions. I'll be anxious to see what episodes look like when they resume.
I feel like that is above and beyond and really shows their dedication to their fans.
