Is it just me or is Eastenders on the onset of another golden age?!

It's been great lately it hasn't been this entertaining since the mid 00s,

It's focusing on a small inner London community without the Gangsters and the wide boys, heck even Kathy being back seems natural now, everyone is in the focus not just large clans like the Mitchell's or the Branning's, Walford finally seems to have caught up with the rest of the East End in terms of its gentrification.

I'm seeing parallels between Mick and Whitney & Den and Michelle, Kim is a laugh and is a successor to Ethel in term of her dizziness.

In terms of humour it's finally caught up with Corrie

Eastenders carry on doing what your doing as you haven't been this good in a decade!

Really love the bully girls. Especially the one with the black hair.

The only positive thing to say about EastEnders this week was the strong Performances from Bonnie Langford, Lacey Turner and James Bye. The carter stuff is a big yawn and at times the show is hard going.

Enjoyed the fight between Stacey and Carmel. "I'll show you crazy."

I think Bonnie Langford as been a revelation as Carmel in EastEnders. I knew she had a strong background in musical theatre but I had now idea just how good an actress she can been in dramatic roles too.

The Carter money issues are a bit of a drag but good enough.

Preston is nice to look at, even if his so-called American accent is atrocious.

I love seeing Mick getting out of his depth (it reminds me of Frank Butcher in his pre-revolving bow-tie period) and Shirley trying to atone for past maternal wrongs.

Is it wrong I have not missed EastEnders since Thursday? I think I could go cold Turkey. :D

More worrying for the BBC if they play about with the schedules because of sport, what long term damage will be done to the show?

I really loved the mom theme of Thursday's first episode -- Carmel telling Shakil all she does every morning, Shirley and Tina dealing with the type of mother Sylvie and Shirley were/are, Lauren admitting motherhood is a little boring and then blushing like a little girl when Max almost walked in on her sex talk, Sharon spoiling Dennis... Very interesting.

A good epsidoe tonight, Tina is really developing as a character. She is the Carter with the backbone right now and I never thought I would say that about her.

I did actually feel sorry for Mick tonight for the first time.

Carmel I could punch. Denny is a little shit. Played very well by Bleu Landau.

Denny is indeed a little horror, he's truly his grandfather's grandson, I can see Denny tormenting the Walford residents by the 2020s if Eastenders is still on the air, what if Sharon and Denny are shaping up to becoming the new Dot and Nick? ;-)

Are we going to see Mick again, or do we think that is how he has gone out of it? Will we get a scene in the Vic where they say Mick has gone to stay with Linda and her Mum in Watford.

It was nice to see Kellie Bright back tonight. Both Bright and Dyer played a blinder tonight, both on top of their game.

Congrats to EastEnders for winning best continuing Drama at the TRIC awards and also a mention to the Wonderful June Brown for winning a special award. Well deserved. :)

Two episodes in one sitting is too much, its like gorging on a whole box of Milk Tray, nice at the time, but you feel yucky afterwards. The schedule for this show is all over the place. I believe we have another double bill on Tuesday.

I thought the episodes were okay, nothing amazing but watchable. Every time I see Whitney I wanted to stab her. Lee stop in Dover mate, you are much better off. The best part of the episode was Tina and Sylvie. Also nice scenes with Kathy and Tina.

The Vic scenes were a bit repetitive, just let them loose the boozer and get a new family in.

Louise you are no friend of Bex's, you are silly spineless wonder. Call yourself a Mitchell? or is she still a Fowler????

Nice to see Yolande again, or as Dot would say, Yoland. :) Oh Denise, Denise, what are you going to do now. Perhaps you could have a word with your ex and get a job at the chippy?

I hate what they are doing to Lee's character now, making out Whitney is all good. Do me a favour!
