Lovely to see Dr Legg again, the scenes with Dot were nice to watch.
I was made aware that Tiffany died 20 years ago tonight in Eastenders.
That made me feel so old.
Fridays episode was OTT, but there was some good acting from Tamzin and Charlie.
Jack knows something is cracking off, I wonder if he will come to their rescue. For me Jessie Wallace slayed it again. So good. Glad we are seeing the back of Alfie.
I noticed Thursday's second episode was written by Lorraine Newman.
Jay and Ruby work well together, Mitch and Bailey fit well into the Square. I don't feel sorry for Louise, a spoilt brat. Tamzin Outhwaite has been good this week.
Well out of the big 3 EE has probably been the best of a bad bunch. The New Years Day flash back episode is billed as a biggy for the soap.
Take a bow Kellie Bright, if there is any justice all the awards will be going her way. I was blown away by the episode. I just loved everything about it, from the scenes with Honey to the scenes with Denise. It was clever that we did not see Linda being vile to Mick or Sharon. I think from the Duff Duff Keanu will be alive. I watched all three soaps tonight and EE was easily without a shadow of a doubt heads and shoulders above the ITV soaps. It is such a shame ITV decided to clash Coronation Street (which was a damp squib) I hope many catch up on demand, roll on New Years Day.
I'm new to Eastenders. It's the only one of the four main UK soaps on air that I've never watched regularly. I started watching it last month and I'm completely hooked. None of the US soaps on air now even come close. The Christmas and New Years episodes were riveting. I figured Linda had seen something with Martin and Keanu but I was completely surprised when she shot him.
Kathy needs a good slap, she also has a very short memory. Glad Ian told her what's what. Not sure it was a good idea going round to Phil's. Does Phil care about Louise?
It doesn't really seem like it and Ben isn't much better. They seem to mostly care that she keep her mouth shut.
I'm trying to tabulate how many people at this point know something about what went down with Keanu--Phil, Ben, Martin, Louise, Karen, Lisa, Linda . . . the list is growing.
I'm looking forward to the 35th anniversary River Thames episodes. They are saying a major character is being killed off. I wonder who it will be?
I am too, sounds good, if it is Keanu that will be a cop out.
I wonder if it will be Louise who dies? I've heard she's leaving the show.
Just catching up with Friday's episode. Martin's been one of my favorites since I started watching, but he was such a jerk to poor Sonia.
The actor playing Leo is really good at playing creepy.
Callum deserves better than Ben. Loved bitter Sharon warning him to stay away from Ben.
I found the first 90 or so episodes of Eastenders online. I've watched the first four so far. It's crazy to see Kathy and Sharon and Ian and also Pauline pregnant with Martin in those early episodes and then watch Sharon and Martin etc. driving story 35 years later in current episodes. What other medium besides soaps has that kind of long running history?
I realize I'm 35 years late to this discovery, but my favorite character so far in the early episodes is Dirty Den.
And now also Sharon knows Keanu is alive . . .
To be honest I hope it’s one of the Mitchell’s that cops it, yes Sharon shouldn’t have had the affair with Keanu but Phil has done much much worse! One of which is that he goaded Dennis Rickman (Sharon’s one true love as far as I’m
Concerned) to his death, and among all the other bad things he’s done, he got Denise pregnant just a few years ago while he was married to Sharon!
Linda drunk is a delight to watch.
I totally agree. It's the best kind of train wreck.
Ben and Callum reuniting makes me think Callum is going to get killed off in the 35th anniversary episode.
I enjoyed seeing Martin dancing and laughing in tonight's episode.
Poor Linda. Peeing herself in public and now fallingg over and hitting her head in the toilet . . . Rock bottom has to be coming soon.
Is that the end of Leo? I hope so.
I'm excited for the big 35th anniversary episodes this week.
The actor playing Leo is amazing at playing super creepy and gross. He was practically drooling, spying on Whitney and hearing about that letter from his dad.
I don't understand what Mick was planning regarding Leo's body? He was going to leave the body there until after the party and then go back and dispose of it? I hate when there are clear cut cases of self defense and characters don't call the police.
Poor Sharon. Poor Ben.
The Denny stuff is going to be heartbreaking.
