"This year’s MASKY for Best New Fall Drama goes to “Dynasty.” It was far and away the most fun pilot and stayed true to what it is. In recent years family soaps have been working (“This Is Us,” “Empire,” “Jane the Virgin”), and once again, this one feels like it has the most potential, even though it’s on The CW, which is held to a different standard."

    Ooooh! Promising! :D:D:D

Well then maybe you should NOT stop watching Dallas after Pams exit. You should watch it right till the end. :D

If it was "for free" to watch, it's because someone invested a hell lot of time, energy and money into making it available for those. So it's not for free.
Buy it used, sell it used, no loss of money. Why do others have to work for you, so you can have the good time "for free"?

Because I honestly don't know if I'll end up liking it, and I don't want to waste what you just described (time, energy and money) on it if that turns out to be the case. If somebody else had done all that, then that would mean that *they* liked DALLAS enough to invest all that time/energy/money on it. It would be worth it to them. But I honestly don't know if it would be worth it to me.

    No try no win. ;)
Buy one or some seasons used on ebay from good rated sellers (so no risk) and wether or not you like them, you cann sell them later on again, as OME did with Dynasty for example. No loss of money that way.
Okay, you invest time and effort, but you seem to do that onto new Dynasty as well, without knowing if you'll end up liking it. :D

I think that if you really wanted to see Dallas you had already done it.

I might try that, that sounds like a good suggestion. Only I'm not too familiar with ebay dealings - but hey, doesn't hurt to learn. But there's a difference between investing time/effort into new Dynasty: I already know that I like the old version. ;) And besides, what I've seen so far promises that I'll have fun. So yeah. :)

I have looked up clips, which is actually how I started out with Dynasty. Dallas just never grabbed my attention the way Dynasty did.

Except lately so many people have encouraged me to give it a chance, it seems like I should at least put *some* effort into looking into it. X)

Yes. And for that "no TV"-Problem - there are tons of quite cheap used TVs and DVD players out on ebay as well. ;)
So no more excuses! Ass up! :D

I'd like to install a dvd player into my computer. Wouldn't have to bother with a TV.

I actually have been looking up Dallas episodes, and found a few clips:

"J-RRRRR! We don't make love like we USED toooooooo...." "I don't want to go to bed with my wife." I can understand that, JR, from that line alone. XD

o_O ...eee-yeah, I'd rather not be an ass, no offense.

I assume yours is an older model?
How about a laptop, you can take it everywhere you want.

I do have a laptop as well, yes. Its just a small version, I don't think it can have a dvd player installed.

You'll just need an USB-Plug. There are external DVD players for Laptops available, used as well for a very few $.
If your Laptop is not older than you, that should work. ;)
