There's a movement I've just heard about recently called "MGTOW -- men going their own way" in which mostly hetero dudes have just decided that feminazi babes are just way too much trouble, and that those women are only wired to demand and received goods and services.

    Anybody know about this??

It frankly sounds a bit like Al Bundy's "No Ma'am."

But there even seem to be some MGTOW-friendly women getting in on the act.

"Feminism and old school chivalry have been on the downlow from the very beginning..."

    There's even gay MGTOW!

I can't get through whole clips of such BS. I quickly lose interest when someone talks absolute garbage.
I don't get how any woman can say that women were always on top in history. As if "women and children first on lifeboats" is some kind of proof. It's more proof that women and children were always possessions. You save your things, because they can't save themselves. Thinking that a woman can't save herself and needs to be saved, just because she's a woman, is proof that women aren't seen as equals. They're so weak that they need to be rescued, they need support, they need this and that - and the men are the strong ones who can give them that. A feminst would say "I can take care of myself, thank you very much".
Real power is to have a deciding voice, to handle to finances and be independant.

It's true that many woman are not fighting in wars, but is that so strange? Who actually wants to battle in wars? And why? Boys are often playing wars and fights when they grow up. They get the toys for that. Girls get dolls and are encouraged to play house. It begins already then. The creation of gender. It would be so easy to make changes there, from the start. Don't paint girls rooms pink and boys rooms blue. Don't buy them typical boys/girls toys - but ask them instead what they want. Before they can talk, it's okay not to buy any gendered toys!!!

About Al Bundy's "No Ma'am" club... I loved it. Cause their wives were quite awful at times. Peggy for instance. Lazy, doing nothing, complaining, spending Al's money and make fun of him. Not really the dream-wife. lol

I've only watched the first video, and although I don't agree with everything she has to say, I actually found her perspective quite refreshing. She made me think and consider things from a point of view I'm not used to hearing.

I pretty much agree with everything she said and it's so strange, and yes, refreshing to hear a woman speak about this in an open minded way. Without that skewed and usually ill-informed shouty feminist agenda.

Rather predictably, though, most of these guys posting MGTOW videos are rightwing conservatives. One of them was going on about how outsourcing American jobs began "2008... 2009" -- meaning that Muslim Kenyan in the White House, of course.

Funny how they just pretend Dubya never happened. They mostly don't claim him. He just never happened.

At least it's a bit fairer when they blame Bill Clinton for signing NAFTA, even though it was Republican legislation.

Oh this did make me laugh. I can't help feeling a bit sorry for him though too. His analytical observations are so skewed by bitterness and resentment, but he doesn't seem to see it. Poor Adele, he really doesn't hold back! He's obviously not a fan.

It's interesting listening to him though, because similarly extreme man hating views seem to be much more commonplace, and even acceptable, from women, but it's rare (or new to me at least) to hear men vocalize these kind of feelings about women.

Btw, the way he talks is really weird. Finishing all his sentences like that. Is it an accent I'm not familiar with? It makes everything he says sound so chirpy and matter of fact, even when he's offering his condolences to the terminally ill level 4 (wtf?) MGTOW.

Uh, oh. Looks like Milo's at it again...

He and some geriatric scientist says women are too emotional and cry a lot to work in a lab; she says it's true but a bouquet of roses might help.

This article from a couple of years ago address studies that show women tend to be happier when their men or partners are unhappy or upset. Naturally, the mainstream media spin explains this response as women being glad to "see some emotion" in their boyfriends and husbands because it reflects that he is "engaged" and "invested" in their relationship.

But scroll down to the readers' comments section for ... ummm.... more candid analyses.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/se...y-when-their-husband-or-partner-is-upset.html

The other day I was listening to an NPR story and discussion about why women tend to have lots of friends after marriage, but men don't.

At no point was there any mention of the fact that many women go to lengths to pressure their partners, directly or indirectly, to separate from those male friends, and most husbands don't return the favor.

In fact, they made women the victim of this scenario, saying "once again, women are forced to become responsible for men's emotional lives" (in entertaining him 24/7 or forcing him to go see his old buds when he must not want to).
