I cannot bear Tracy. She's awful. The STEVEEEEEEEEE every two minutes is so unnecessary. I find her excruiating.

Looks like Robert is leaving the cobbles too. I wonder if he will be running off into the sunset with Michelle, or basically running to the other side of the world without her, I know which I would choose.

There's no need to write Ryan & Ali out though, it's not like Michelle ever cared about them anyway.

Did he work for the fraud squad at the DHSS (assuming that's what it was called back then) and spend his time in a white van?

Christ alive. What I’d give for the Weatherfield bus to hit Leanne at close range. The shouting the stomping. It’s like one of the cast of Stomp is missing a character. What you reckon @Mo Mouse ?

The Old Brass has got to go, Sar. At least Nick has decided that it's over. Hopefully she'll end up back on the street where she belongs.

Leanne even makes lentil vegan munching Toyah more reasonable and likeable. Leanne was out of order tonight with Peter. Ken was right she is a fish wife.

I cannot stand her. I would go so far as to say she is not a very good actress.

Maybe it is happening, but they aren't making a big deal over it.

I don't know how long MacLeod has been in charge, but already we have Michelle, Robert and Kate leaving and they've just announced Sinead is leaving too.

I thought Robert was a decent character, but the other three can go and never come back for me.

Things are looking up then - maybe I will tune back in
I didnt mind Robert at all but he seemed to leap from one woman (ie love of his life and about to marry) to another in a week
cant see Hollywood calling for Michelle and kate and definitely not Sinus Sinead

Let me know when Norris makes an appearance, will watch that one thanks xx

They are now denying she is leaving, but they are saying that she is committed to finishing the cancer storyline. I'm thinking that she will be leaving, but they don't want that to be public knowledge because it would kinda confirm she would die from cancer.

They have announced that Bethany Platt will be leaving though it won't be until next year.

Freda is back tomorrow and Norris on Monday.

Really glad to see Norris back. Maybe that taxi can wait to pick up Leanne and Michelle.

Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt in Coronation Street, has become the latest star to announce she is leaving the show.

The actress, who joined the ITV soap as Sarah Platt's daughter in 2015, will depart when her contract ends in 2020.

She won the prizes for best actress and best female dramatic performance at last year's British Soap Awards.

In the past week, Faye Brookes (Kate Connor) and Tristan Gemmill (Robert Preston) have both broken similar news.

Fallon won her awards for her part in a hard-hitting and much talked-about grooming storyline.

In a statement, she said: "After the most incredible four years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020.

"It's hard to put into words how much this show means to me. I've made lifelong friends with some of the most talented and hardworking people in the industry, I've had some terrific and immensely important storylines and I've laughed with the best people every day."

Coronation Street producer Iain Macleod said: "Lucy advised us at the start of this year that she would like to leave at the end of her current contract in 2020 to pursue other projects.

"She is an amazing performer and has been at the centre of some huge stories for us during her time on the show."

I’ll be sad to see Bethany go, she’s made an impact during her five years

I'm disappointed to see her go too. I think Lucy Fallon has really given the character Bethany everything, not just the grooming story, but the ability to bring the Platt family together. It must have been a little daunting for her to begin with because the Platts have been a strong family for nearly three decades and to come into that unit and make her character believable is a credit to her.

I've never been overly fussed with Sarah in the past, but have very much enjoyed her since the return and this is down to having Bethany to play off within various stories. I've also enjoyed the relationship she's had with David.
