I think it was some time in the late 90s or early 2000s that I first heard people, usually very young people, talking about there being two kinds of men: alpha and beta. I don't know if that's still a thing people talk about that much. I heard a lot of people talking about it like ten years ago or maybe even 5 years ago, but I rarely hear it now. Was it just another fad that died out? I always found it very simplistic - like saying every man is either a hero or a villain. No. Most people are shades of gray and I believe that goes for the idea of there being alpha and beta males as well. It's an oversimplification, so I never put much stock into it. What do you think?
