Funny, or just natural that people don't always look their age? Ana Brenda was born in December 1986, which means that she's 3 years younger than I am. But I would have guessed that she's 5 years older than I am. I honestly thought she had turned 40. Oh well. Daniella is apparently turning 41 this month. She looks more like 35. No massive difference between 35 and 41 though.
As much as I wanted Fallon and Crystal 2 to remain friends, I want this recasted Crystal to be Fallon's enemy like Crystal 1 was, probably because she is more of a vamp rather than a girl-next-door.
Well...it's football time and my Cardinals with a new QB are a disappointment yet again!! At this point, it's a race to see whether we'll have more Cristals or Quarterbacks this decade. ??
Aha! Now we know why A-BC really left---the Cardinals made her an offer. Let's just hope she didn't have practice camp with the Falcons.
WELL...my rookie QB made a comeback of sorts. We didn't win, nor lose, but we ended with a tie. Maybe that's a prediction that this will be the last rookie (hooker) Cristal?
So, we're less than a month away from the Season 3 premiere, and yet it's been eerily silent on the Dynasty front, hasn't it? I haven't see any new promos/trailers for Season 3 (other CW shows have), not much news, no new episodes updated on IMDB past episode 1, and not a whole lot of activity on Twitter.
I'll admit I don't go looking for these things as I usually discover them right here on Soapchat. What would be frustrating for The CW Dynasty fans is the lack of information. It's like The CW is going out of their way not to promote the series. Are they embarrassed by their own creation? New Dynasty needs all the friends it can muster.
Maybe it isn't embarrassment, but the overall feeling that promoting the show is not the best way to use their promotional department resources. They have other shows they want to hang their hats on (like Riverdale, Arrow, and their other superhero shows). I've never understood why networks spend so much to promote shows that are already hits; people will watch those hits regardless of whether they see a commercial for it. It's shows like Dynasty with anemic ratings that need to be promoted and spoken about. And yet networks often 'freeze out' the very shows that could benefit the most from advertising. In Dynasty's case they are making money even without advertising because of Netflix. It might be possible (though I have no way of knowing) that the premiere of the episodes on the CW every week actually lose money for the CW, and all the money to justify the continuation of the series comes from the Netflix area. I see ratings for the CW in the weeks Dynasty is on hiatus, and they are usually the same or slightly higher--but the shows aired in Dynasty's place are typically very cheap to produce so the shows look more profitable. The CW might want to air something else in that slot permanently, but has to continue with Dynasty as long as the parent company keeps making money off it overall. If they feel they're being forced to continue with a show they wish they could dump, they might hold back on promoting it in an effort to hasten its demise. I recall fondly when the networks would release tons of lavish, expensive promotions for their fall line-up. They'd have the stars on press tours, tons of commercials, that huge "Fall Preview" issue of TV Guide with more glossy photos than a bridal magazine...it was a yearly tradition. None of that is done today, of course, but a smaller outlet like the CW could take a few cues from those old efforts and see if it moves the needle.
They're filming episode 6 and Alexis hasn't been recast yet. This gives me hope that Nicollette might return eventually. Am I too stupid or naive to hope for her return?
I also hope they will convince her to return. Any bit of continuity in the face of the "Three Faces of Cristal" problem would be welcomed.
I'd like to see Nicolette return but only if the writers give her the goods. None of that comedy nonsense but a dark, vengeful Alexis will only do. I'm interested in what Josh Reims has in store for us. Does anyone here have any knowledge of his credentials? Episode 6 and no signs of Alexis....curious
I assume that Dominique has now taken over the position of the resident bitch. Well, good for her. I hope she fares better than O.Dominique. But I still miss the big fur coats!
Dynasty has nothing to lose. I want Alexis to be drenched in the stench of revenge. I wish for the character to do something sinister to Adam. Something so God damn awful it makes Alexis being thrown into the fire look like a Weekend at Bernie's.
If it is true that she left to take care of her sick mom and it wasn't just a cover reason, I don't see why they couldn't try to wait to see if Nicollette might be willing to return eventually. They've pretty much admitted that part of the reason Dominique was introduced was to replace her as the troublemaker.
