Charro do you know anything about selling original records of Elvis? My dad has a load, but they have a stamp from when he was in the army, and he says its not legal for him to sell these without signing some sort of "declaration" can you help us at all?

Anyway, when you say "he" was in the army. Are you talking about Elvis or your dad.
Most Elvis records are not worth more than £5 now because since he sold so many theres nothing rare.

my dad was in the army, and he put his stamp - with his name and number thing on it - on most of the records that he's bought and says if he sells them, he needs to get some sort of declaration. He says if he sold them without the declaration, he could say they were stolen, and the guy who buys them could get arrested. I think he's talking a load of crap, but I don't want to see him throw away £5000 - I saw an elvis single on ebay, currently at $200 so how much must an album go for

Give me the link to that $200 ebay Elvis single and I'll tell if its worth that! Most albums/singles are worth no more than $5 unless there is something very special about them.

The reason that single is selling high is because its got a very rare design with a full HMV label. The colouring is not regular either. I dont think I'll be helping you further but its the little small things like stickers, colours, rare labels make something worth value but if they we just regular purchases down at your local record shop then no more than £5 now.

i'm just really p!$$@d at him for not selling them - i've sold things before with my name on them but i've never accused anyone of stealing them. he's just being a stubborn old b.....
