In real life what things in Dallas would never happen?

Ok the dream is obvious but..........

    1. Pam would not of run away, she would of either been dead or taken ages to recover

    2. A woman like Ellie would not of remarried so soon.

    3. They would never have lived in the same house

    4. Its unlikely that so many people would of died in plane crashes. I dont know a single person.

    5. Lucy would have more friends

    6. Yes many people find their real mothers like Pam did. But how many are millionaires??

    7. Men like Bobby are never that nice.....

    First my responses...

    1. Pam would not of run away, she would of either been dead or taken ages to recover

That's one of the storylines that bothered me the most. A woman like Pam would NEVER EVER run away from her family!!!

    2. A woman like Ellie would not of remarried so soon.

I totally agree. I would even say that a woman like Ellie would have not remarried AT ALL!

    3. They would never have lived in the same house

I've been wondering though if this was an 80's Texas thing? It is my understanding that the state of Texas is a "little" more conservative than other states? Correct me if I am wrong...
Anyway, it was the 80's, it was Texas so I think it's kinda believable that they all lived in one house. I did like the mini-series ranch a lot better though. They all had their own houses on one and the same ranch.

    4. Its unlikely that so many people would of died in plane crashes. I dont know a single person.

I don't know anybody either, LOL.

    5. Lucy would have more friends

She might have been a little too arrogant to have more friends, LOL.

    6. Yes many people find their real mothers like Pam did. But how many are millionaires??

And how many young women would be sooooo understanding like Pam? I always thought that Cliff's reaction was way more realistic.

    7. Men like Bobby are never that nice.....

Have to disagree. I am married to a real life Bobby! They do exist, watch out for them...

Oops, I don't have time for coming up with more points right now, maybe later...

    Ok I have another

How many people in real life would turn out to have sisters that were attempted killers?

In Dallas it was an epidemic. Kristin, Katherine, Jessica !!! Come on...........

Also if say you were adopted like Christopher what are the chances that your aunt (Lisa) would even contemplate getting custody? Surely they wouldnt have a leg to stand on and its a complete waste of the courts time. Even Judge Judy would of thrown that out before it began.

Home come in the world of soaps there are advances in plastic surgery? Pamela was burned to pieces yet had an acne rash and well nobody questioned the amazing surgery performed on Wes Parmalee.

In real life a loving mother like Valene would have never abandoned her daughter. If it wasn't possible to live with Lucy some place else, well I am sure a woman like Val would have just stayed at Southfork. Not only JR lived there but also Jock, Ms. Ellie and Bobby!

A girl like Lucy would have never become Miss Young Dallas. She was way too short for being a model.

In real life, how many people would fill their breakfast plate with food, take one mouthful, then leave for the office?!!!

What are the odds that a politically sophisticated women like Donna would fall for a ill-mannered cowboy?

Although she is my favorite character, if it were real life, Jenna would've had her hair pulled out and her butt kicked by Pam the first two times she was around for messing around with Bobby.

John Ross III would've had severe birth defects with the amount of alcohol sue-ellen consumed while pregnant.

People like Ellie would've been sent straight to hell for treating people the way she did. Not that she was a bitch, but, she spoke to people pretty nasty sometimes.

And, I agree with the original post. No one would live in that house with their parents while married. Married people like to make noise and there's no walking around naked.

In real life maybe a couple of people would have had a birthday once in a while!

"A new room? What's wrong with the old one" - JR

    "You're in it" - Sue Ellen, 1983

Right! And in real life people would celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas!

At least I cannot remember any Christmas at Southfork?

This is a really interesting topic! lol!

And did anyone notice how JR always got parked at the door of the great big massive Ewing building all the time! He just parked on a main road! And no other people parked there, just JR! I always thought that was funny.

And they all seemed to use that same phone!

Good one about them filling their plate at breakfast, only to just take a bite and leave!
