Yes I know I am old......and I know it was campy.....but have you ever pictured anyone but Adam West as Batman?......Micheal Keaton?....LOL......Val Kilmer....PUHLEEZZZZ.....and George Clooney is just damn LOONEY....ROFLMAO

This is just my opinion....any thought, gang?

I'm with you. gravy. And now they're doing another movie with yet another Batman. But Adam West wasn't the first. There were two movie serials made in the forties. I've seen the second one starring Robert Lowery. (Only on TV - I'm not that old, lol!)

I've met Adam West, and he is pretty cool!

The new Bat movie souds really good, with an excellent cast lead by Christian Bale as Batman.

You know, Bret, I hope that they will do this movie....right...so that it goes from his parents murder to his becoming Batman, which should take an hour.....make it a 3 hour movie like Lord of the Rings.....and do It Well....

Then you can use the rest of the film to introduce a character like.....The Scarecrow....or a new Catwoman.....

Geezzz....I sound like my 14 year old nephew....LMAO...

Hale Berry stars in "Catwoman," a new movie based on the Batman character that hits US movie screens in July.

It's rumored Jonathan Crane (AKA Scarecrow) will make an appearence in "Batman Begins" (the new Bat film), but the main villian will be Ras Al Goul.

I don't think the Batman origin story has ever been filmed before so that should be interesting. For some unknown reason every time they do Superman, they seem to think they have to start at the beginning again.

Yeah Batman was a great series.

I watched it at child very often and I liked the series very much. I liked Adam West as Batman (he looked very good) and I liked Burt Ward as Robin (he looked very cute).

Of course, the movies are in a whole different vein than the TV series so in that spirit it looks good. Maybe that's why the last one did so poorly. They sort of tried to combine the old camp with the new darkness and never quite pulled it off.

They did a little of the Batman origin story in the first movie....ie...when he his remembering what the Joker said to him......Hey Kid,...Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight...

That's what Napier said when he killed Bruce Wayne's parents.....and Jack Napier was the Joker.

Yeah, they've done it a little in flashbacks and conversations but it'll be interesting to see it laid out in a (hopefully) coherent storyline.

I really enjoyed the original Batman series with Burt Ward and Adam West. It had awesome guest stars and was so campy and fun.

There was one before it too with a Robin with wild hair. It was in black and white. DOes anyone have a clue what I'm talking about?

I also LOVE the Adam West Batman movie. It was a step up from the series. I need the dvd.

I also loved all the recent movies, even Batman and Robin. They all had a different style and good casts. I have a little faith for the new Batman movie, but everything is so different. We went through 2 movies before we got Robin and then another 2 before Bat Girl and now its like we're starting over AGAIN.

The new Catwoman has got me worried, but I'm keeping hope that they won't do something horrid like that.

I believe you're talking about the old serial I mentioned earlier. They used to make multi-part serials for the cinemas in the days before TV. There were also two Superman serials made before the George Reeves TV series.

I never had a problem with Adam West, it was Burt Ward I had a problem with. Holy I have to slam my fist into my hand!
