Way back in the late 70s early 80s they sold these bubblegum records. They were in the shape of records and came in the sleeve of a record with lyrics on it. My sister found me one a couple of years ago Blondie 's Tide is High.

Has anyone else heard of these bubblegum records?

I don't know if Blondie was considered Bubblegum music, but most of what was termed Bubblegum Music was in the late 60's and early 70's. Groups like The Archies, Osmonds, 1910 Fruitgum Company, Partridge Family, are examples of Bubblegum Music.

No I am not talking about a genre of music...

They were actual bubblegum records--meaning they were shaped like records about 3 inches in diameter and made of actual chewing gum.

They are called Chu-Bops. There is a series of Elvis & one of the Beatles & One by various artists. You can probably find them on ebay.

"I could say Richard isn't as bad as he seems, but I've been wrong before."

    Icon7 Chu-Bops Bubble Gum records

Yes I know exactly what your talking about. I have 2 Elvis bubble gum records Elvis Presley Title "Loving You" and "From Elvis Presley Boulevard Memphis Tennesse. So which ones do you have? I would love to find a whole collection. Even if every one didn't want to sell them for a complete collection it would be neat to see if we could find a whole collection and post together as a series.....??
I'm new to this site but I did find information regarding what I was looking for here in this forum. I look forward to any and all feed back.

    Thank You,

    Angelique Tru
