Monkeys, Midgets, and a 16 year old I can see as elements from The Wizard Of Oz but I can't figure the German or Thelma Ritter into that. But I suppose Tommy could be a Friend Of Dorothy so maybe he can connect the loose ends.

Poor Christine, as if being shouted at on the DYNASTY forum for pointing out Stephanie Beacham's obvious masculinity wasn't enough! Truly, the life of a moderator is not an easy one. Speaking of which, as the lovely Thelma Ritter (below) is unavailable, would it not be logical to suggest instead her earthly representative, Miss Shelley Novak, as a future candidate for moderation? Hey, I think there's a striking resemblance between Thelma Ritter and the wonderful Shelley Novak. Can anyone else see this?

Shelley Novak is DEFINATELY inspired by the likes of the late great Thelma Ritter - one of My favorite lines of dialogue is from Sam Fuller's "Pick up on South Street" Thelma says to the hit man who has a gun to Her head " Mister I'm so tired you'd be doin' Me a favor by blowin' My brains out" the camera pans to the record spinning on the wind up old time record player and then a gunshot and the needled hits the end of the record -its availible on DVD released by Criterion
