re: those cul-de-sac barbeques

today i went to my cousin's house for a barbeque - coincidentally on a cul-de-sac. i parked my car in between the space that i would say was between karen and laura's houses. my cousin's house i'll say was abby's house in the cul-de-sac.

anyway, my cousins had some neighbors as well as other family members over for the barbeque. there were certain circles of people talkin to one another. then it dawned on me, wasn't knots famous for those, "kiss the cook apron" barbeques?

i remember when mack was introduced to the cul-de-sac, richard offered mack a well done hamburger. later on, there was the block party bbq where mack's father showed up and diana was with chip.

in 1986/87, i remember mack standing up to anne saying that tonight we're having barbequed hot dogs with his kiss the cook apron. there were more later on.

in 1989 i think eric comes home with his new bride linda and karen is walking around with crutches re-telling her story about how she broke her ankle while everyone is eating hot dogs and hamburgers. i think this was also the time when danny - val's boyfriend was shown off.

then in 1990-91, i remember a barbeque at the williames or claudia's house where gary bumps into kate causing her to break her wrist causing her not to play tennis anymore. (boy how quickly we heal in knots landing, kate was playing tennis right away later that season when alex came along.)

in 1992, val was speaking with frank about the dissapearence of mary robeson at karen's barbeque.
