Tonight I have noticed on several occasions - despite having exceeded comfortably the 30 second time lapse between posts - random messages coming up, for instance, that I can't post until another 12 seconds. Upon doing this, though, I discovered that it leads to post duplication - in other words, the initial post went through but somehow is registering as not posting.
Any ideas?

Wait at least a minute between posts, and maybe hit 'refresh' to see if the posting actually went through. Most discussion sites require 60 seconds between postings because of spam-bots.
