Default Did the food suck at Southfork?

Anybody ever notice how nobody ate at Southfork? Nobody was ever hungry. Oh, they drank plenty of cocktails before dinner, but once they sat down at the dining room table in front of huge mounds of salads, nobody ever touched theirs? At breakfasts by the pool, most of the time people came out, grabbed a swig of coffee or juice and ran off, or sat down and read the paper, but never touched a bite of food that was set up at the buffet table. Every time anybody had Teresa bring them a tray to their bedrooms, they never touched a bite. Miss Ellie and Sue Ellen were notorious for never "touching a thing on their trays." Poor Teresa must have developed a complex.
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

It's just a tv and movie convention-it makes it easier to film if the actors don't actually eat during scenes. You don''t have to bring out more food and it allows for clarity of lines. But it is pretty funny when you think about it, since Miss Ellie's chili was supposed to be excellent.
