Parking at Ewing Oil

Isn't it amazing how whenever Bobby or JR pull up to the Ewing Oil building, there is always an empty parking space in front no matter the time of day.

Isn't it also amazing that with all that scrumptious food on the table at Southfork, nobody ever eats it? They just take a swig of juice or coffee and run.

It's equally amazing the hordes of people across the street who watch in fascination as the Ewings get out of their cars and go inside.

Indeed it is! I used to live in Dallas and I can assure you that's a complete fantasy. The people who work in those high rise office buildings downtown primarily use parking garages.

CarlD is right, though - the availability of prime parking space is common on a lot of TV shows.

A parking space infront of the Ewing Oil Building for the Ewings 100% of the time is about as remarkable as Pam always waking up in the morning with perfect hair and perfect make-up. Boy,she should market something like that!

If Ewing Oil owned the whole building it could be possible that the parking space was reserved for them. But there were other companies in the building too? And for Dallas Memorial Hospital, the Ewings always got the best park spot, always available.

How about when a Ewing was in surgery,only Ewings and or family were in the waiting room. No one else would be there.

No Ewing car would ever have a speck of dirt on it,even if they parked under a telephone wire and birds converged.

Southforks main house was bigger on the inside than on the outside.

Also, people would barge i nto the Ewing Oil offices...say one or two things and leave..it would have been so much easier to pick up a phone for 3 sentences.

For once they didn't get the best parking spot at Dallas memorial. But of course it was only Ray and Lucy arriving.
