Who Was Michael's "Soulmate"?

I'm only including his wives for this poll, and Lexi, because had she not backed out he would have married her.

I think Sydney and Michael each had what the other needed, but they were both so dysfunctional that they were doomed to self-destruct.

It's been a while since my last viewing, but I remember hating what they did to Jane's character in the last season or two. Did they make her crazy or something? I can't remember, but it was out of character and just dumb.

Thinking back on all these characters is tempting me to rewatch!

TPTB made Jane go cuckoo after seeing Jake and Allison together. Jane was still hung up on Jake but pushed him away for Richard (who wound up raping her). Jane left the series for a while and it was just as well - her character was destroyed. Jane was never intended to be crazy, IMO. She was the 'nice one', the moral compass of the show. Which is why Michael did not deserve her - she was literally too good for him. They were not soul mates.

Michael's soul mate is Kimberly Shaw, IMO. They were both doctors, both power hungry, both hot tempered (not necessarily a good thing), both a little bit evil. Kimberly is the woman that Michael married twice; he stayed with her till death, and I think he made a nice little speech about her as her body went on the train but I do not remember.

I don't know who Lexi is, so I cannot comment on her.

Sydney and Michael used one another - plain and simple. Sydney used Michael to annoy Jane, to get money, power, prestige. Michael used Sydney to annoy Jane, and to have a little spy do his dirty work for him so that he could keep his hands clean.

Megan, like Jane, seemed 'too good' for Michael. I remember Kimberly handpicking her as Michael's companion when she died, but I think he cheated on her, and she found love elsewhere.

Dr. Kimberly Shaw. They were both in the same profession, which means they shared at least one major interest. They were both devious, though I think Michael was a little more evil than she. They were both passionate, and they seemed like a complete couple. They would breathe and think like one.

Jane was too childlike in a way, Megan was too good indeed, Sydney did make Michael tick, but it would never last that long, as even if she was devious too, she was also kind of immature and naive, compared to Michael. As for Lexi, she would have been my second choice for sure, but I don't know the plot as I watched season 6 and 7 way back, and recently only till references to Kimmie.

I think that Kimberly was Michael's other half. They were both doctors and shared alot of the same wants and needs. She didnt try to change him and in fact liked his "darker" Side
She died trying to get to Michael and her final words were something like "I'm sorry, i know i should have stayed (home) But i love him."
I Think Michael was to dense to realize what he had with Kimberly.

Jane while she loved him couldn't handle the fact that he was a DR and working all the long hours. I was amazed when they remarried near the end of the series.

Sydney and Michael really did just use each other for selfish reasons.

Megan was a total sweetheart but far to sweet to be with Michael.
Kimberly hand picked her to be with him when she knew she was going to die. But Megan couldnt handle it

Lexi, i think she is basically the female Michael. I dont think it would have lasted had they actually gotten married

I haven't watched this show in 10 years time and I really don't think I will rewatch it either. I remember I rooted for Jane and Michael as a couple though.
