Peter Wyngarde guested on THE BARON in one episode as 2 different people (a subdued performance as a prince and also portraying a flamboyant actor, who for some scenes impersonated the prince in a very different way from how the prince actually was) with 3 markedly different characterisations.

"Once again, Peter Wyngarde steals the show. Here, given a dual role, he gets to demonstrate two very different performances. As King Ibrahim we get a more mannered display. But as the actor, Ronald Noyce, Wyngarde is given full reign to let the more flamboyant side of his nature run free. But these contrasting styles work together beautifully because it is quite easy to believe we are watching two different people on the screen – rather than one actor giving a dual performance."

Got to go with William Shatner. Captain James T. Kirk, T.J. Hooker and Denny Crane for which he finally won an Emmy. Hopefully Larry will follow in Shatners footsteps and be recognised for his performances. These old geezers up their game in the twighlight of their careers! Good for them. Puts a lot of actors to shame.

    I already said Shatner.

Jeffery Tambor! As Garry Shandling's sidekick on THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, and the elder Mr. Bluth on the late, great, and soon to return ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT. Plus he was on THE ROPERS too.

your first post mentioning William Shatner was mostly a list of actors who had multiple roles and that's probably why some of is skipped it and missed it.

as much as I love Jeff Tambor..he also plays many of the same style roles..the dry, befuddled or harried one.

Yes much like saying Don Knotts for Barney Fyfe and then as Mr Furley on Three's COmpany - essentially the same doofus character.

That reminds of Elizabeth Montgomery playing Samantha and Serena on Bewitched.

Bill Bixby in Incredible Hulk, My Favorite Martian, The Courtship of Eddie's Father - all very different roles and executed brilliantly.

Jerry Mathers played an adorably cute, precocious young boy growing up in '50s suburbia in LEAVE IT TO BEAVER. Decades later, he played a creepy, boring fat guy in STILL THE BEAVER.
