Default John Ross there's no way in hell you gonna put your daddy back in that nursing home

The only way Bobby and Sue Ellen got JR in that home in the beginning was because JR didn't give a dam,he didn't have anything to fight for, well thats all changed now. He's got his share of the mineral rights coming, there's Ewing Energies which he's got his own plans for I'm sure and of course there's ol' Cliff Barnes to take care of.So you see John Ross when you came to visit your daddy in that nursing home you woke up a sleeping giant the genie is out of the bottle boy and you can't put him back in.
TO J.R. EWING back in power again - As it should be.

John Ross is a young man who is prone to delusions. He had one about Elena. And he has one about his own position of power.

Remember what J.R. told him - never miss a good opportunity to keep your mouth shut. I think this could be John Ross's worst failing.

He is his mom's son too. And while JR gets the back room deals better then John Ross, Sue Ellen gets the front page deals better then JR. She will be the next Governor of Texas and she is very rich and like on two continents. There is something to say for both rolls I think. But JR's leaves him with nothing as she points out. Sue Ellen doesn't have much more but the admiration of millions. I hope John Ross gets the love of a family too.

I guess this is why so many on here say JR is now a wimp. I guess John Ross already forgot the barber shop scene where JR said he needs to FEAR his daddy.

Can you imagine if JR said something like that to Jock ???!!!! Jock would have beat the crap out of him.

But JR liked the fact that John Ross backtalked him, that he'd taught his son to be evil.

That was the point, wasn't it? That JR was pleased that he'd trained the humanity out of his kid?

Agreed - I didn't like it as you know and I wish they'd find some one else to be "evil" but I agree that was the point.

Agreed! It is great to see the fight back in J.R.. I dont much care for the facebook timeline.I am willing to give the writers the benifit of the doubt. I believe they will put the character of J.R. Ewing back as it should be.

I wish they'd find some one else to be "evil" too.Josh has done such a good work giving layers to John Ross for him to become Dark Vedder as one of Cidre's interview pointed out.I hope Sue Ellen can win back his soul.

Sad thing is she doesn't even get Star Wars. Darth Vader was turned not by his father but the emperor. JR is more like Darth Vader. The son is Luke - he was not turned. In fact Dark Vader died to save his son from being turned and killed the Emperor. Show how can John Ross be Anikin Skywalker and be turned by his own father??? She needs to watch the movies and think about what she sees first. I can do with it - but JR has to be Darth Vader and he has to throw himself in the way.

That's exactly what I got from that scene. JR is "testing" John Ross' reactions to see just how well he's learned and how far he'll go.

Yes that's how I saw it. I got the impression that JR saw it as an idol threat, a bit like a small yappy Chihuahua barking at a German Sheperd.

Yes, it was clear to me JR liked the threats, but JR seemed pissed when he found out John Ross was trying to screw him early in the season.

No doubt JR is happy his son is ruthless.
