Good question. But we don't even know where they are living. Are they local? I assumed Lucy was since she had lunch with John Ross recently. We know nothing about what's going on in their lives. It would be nice if they did visit. It would be even nicer if Pam came to visit.![]()
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

It does seem a bit odd that neither Ray nor Lucy have been seen at either the hospital or Southfork since Bobby fell seriously ill. Maybe we'll see them in the finale? I can't believe TNT/Warner Horizon didn't have enough money in the budget to pay Steve and Charlene for a cameo in Bobby's story. Although, with as much plot as they have crammed into these first 10 episodes, maybe there just wasn't enough time for Ray/Lucy cameos during Bobby's illness.

I don't think Charlene or Steve will be in the finale, Lucy may have been at the hospital but I believe Charlene was off 'Dancing On Ice' during the filming of the final couple of episodes.
The last we knew they were both living in Europe. We have no idea where they live now, but they both have lives and have made recent trips to Dallas. They just may not have been able to get away. Gary's only in Cali, why hasn't he visited?

Because they would have to pay them
I think its a shame that they have both been under used this series, and feel sorry for Steve as it really wasnt worth the plane fare from LA for a blink and you miss him shot.
I would like to see Juicy Lucy become an embarassing thorn in the Ewings side - bit of a lush, always got a drink in hand and looking a bit the worse for wear and good with the witty one liners - like early Lucy all those years ago (only she wasnt a lush back then)

Lucy should also be a bit of a tart, seducing hot young ranch hands right and left.
I could seriously see Lucy coming back as a sassy bitch role. Really play it up...

When the original series left off, Ray was living in Europe with Jenna, Charlie and Lucas. Lucy went to Europe to pursue her art gallery career. Since this new series started, I don't think it's been said where they are living now or what they are doing. Us oldtimers would like to know. I always thought it was strange that Ray Krebbs would ever live in Europe. When actors leave a show, they have to be written off--I get that--but Ray the cowboy moving to Europe? Nah!
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

Ray would hate living anywhere but Texas! Ray also deserved a lot better than Jenna, who made a desperate play for Bobby just before she married Ray. I like to think Ray and Jenna divorced and he's happily remarried, prefereably to Donna.
Lucy should've had another husband she's divorced, and a kid or two.
Honestly, we don't know that they haven't. They could have been there to see him in the hospital or at home- there has been no dialogue saying "Lucy and Ray didn't come to visit..." or some 24 hour cam on Bobby where we never saw them. We are only seeing a few minutes out of a long time, there could have been phone calls, visits, etc.,

I think the reason why there has been so little about Ray and Lucy (and why they say so little during their split second cameos) is because the writers haven't decided yet what they are going to do with them. There may plans for them in the future, otherwise why show them in the first place. Maybe, little by little, we'll see more and hear more.

That's basically what I was thinking, too--that they visited during the commercial breaks.Honestly, we don't know that they haven't. They could have been there to see him in the hospital or at home- there has been no dialogue saying "Lucy and Ray didn't come to visit..." or some 24 hour cam on Bobby where we never saw them. We are only seeing a few minutes out of a long time, there could have been phone calls, visits, etc.,The editing makes it hard to determine just how long Bobby was at the hospital before getting permission to go home, and how long he'd been cooling his heels at home.
They should've kept Lucy where she was and saved Ray for something that made more sense. He was absolutely useless. I don't understand why they brought him back at all.

I do think they have been utilized poorly, but we have noted as well at how little time they have as it is. One could say 'why bring them back at all', while others are saying exactly the opposite.
You could also say that there was ample time to plan on attending the wedding, and just hopping on a plane from Europe isn't something that can happen in a flash. Bobby was in and out of the hospital so quickly in the last episode that there was no way to expect to see them. But then again, they probably won't be there in the finale either, which would work for me. We are probably looking at seeing them during the first episode of next season, as it seems that Bobby may be staying in the hospital a little longer this time (hopefully he makes it). It would seem fitting, as all will be tuned in at the launch of season 2, and having more family members there would seem appropriate.
I did hear a rumor that Lucy makes another appearance in the finale.

I agree with another poster, we don't know that they haven't. That could be one of the offscreen things.
