To answer your question...the mere fact that people are forced to defend their IQ/sanity if they don't enjoy everything anything Dallas 2.0 related. People should be entitled to an opinion that isn't shared by others, without being labelled unintelligent, negative, etc.

It's almost scary to think of what is going to happen if ratings sink even lower this coming week. Chances are the ratings will sink.

The Olympics are on; I can't imagine the ratings will increase. At least the show has a good excuse for poor ratings for the final two weeks.

The third should be the number of threads on the subject and all annoying. Lets get this clear once and for all. Bashing it is fine but some of the posts are just ludicrous. Equally if someone posted Dallas was the best thing on TV ever, they would also be ludicrous. Some of the posts are irrational BUT the nastiness that has transpired from some is the issue. Constructive criticism is fine but some of it appears petty and juvenile.

True. I still have to wait to see this new series, but I just hope it is worth the wait.

I think if I had not seen any episodes like many of you I would expect the show to be worse than it actually is after reading the threads here
Go into it with an open mind and form your own opinion and unless you are in the if Pam doesnt come back it is rubbish you will like it

Taste in TV shows has nothing to do with I.Q. or sanity. Disregard anyone who tries to tell you otherwise.

If someone is bashing the show, it is only because they have problems with the show that are important to them. Every concern might not be feasible but it is valid in the eye of the beholder. Just because it is called Dallas doesn't mean we have to like it, nor does it make us a lesser fan.

The show has exceeded my expectations. I loved the original and I love the new series. I don't think it could be done much better in 2012 and can't wait for season two. It is one thing to dislike something, but frankly and I am a newbie, there are certain users that are going to complain about everything. I am not trying to be rude but if you dislike it that much, don't watch it. There are some great things about the new show and a few things that don't add up, but the original was not a perfect series either. For instance, it used to drive me crazy that it seemed like everyone was getting hurt or dying from a plane crash on the original and some seasons were better than others. There was good and bad. With the new series, I would like to see addressed why J.R. is no longer president of Weststar (from the movies) A lot could have happened in the fourteen years since the reunion movies and between Miss Ellie giving Southfork to Bobby and the decline of the oil business, I can believe J.R. went into depression. It would just be nice to cover that, so that is one criticism I have, but the good has far exceeded the bad.

This show sucks , I am never watching again, Cidre should be drawn and quartered are out in force
It was old after the first episode and the same people feel the same way SURPRISE and feel compelled to express their outrage and belittle those who arent smart enough to agree with them
There are even some here who posted how much they hated it before it even aired
