Default What specific characters/actors and stories have you liked watching on the new Dallas

What characters/actors, stories or specific scenes have you "loved" watching on the new Dallas? By "loved" I mean that character or story, in particular, makes you want to tune in the next week.

For me, what comes to the top of my mind is Vicente Cano. I so much like him. All of his scenes have been great, but the best one has been Vicente's scene with Bobby. I look forward to seeing Vicente in more scenes with the older Ewing generation.

If I can think of more that I have really loved in the new Dallas, I will make another post.

The cow was compelling. In just a few minutes, I knew more about the cow than all of the other new characters combined. I find myself wanting to know more about the calf and its adoptive mother cow because the tragedy and trauma provided gripping drama.

I enjoy any scenes that John Ross are in, particularly with Sue Ellen. I love Linda Gray. Her acting is superb as usual, and I think Josh is fabulous. I am interested to see if they become a team (partners in crime so to speak) and if they become closer, protective and supportive of each other, as mother and son.
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

That cow scene was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever seen. John Ross said it best when he told Christopher, "Don't you have some cows to go birth?"

I'd like to say that to Cidre, actually.
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

And with these woefully adolescent exchanges you have succeeded in killing your thread stone dead - apart from some risibly predictable contributions from a dwindling coterie of naysayers. Such a chorus will swell for a time, I'm sure.

Nevertheless, some of these very personal attacks are becoming an embarrassment to these boards. Please try to exercise some judgement and restraint. Your criticisms of the 'writing' would hold more validity if you were a little more circumspect; and a little more persuasive in demonstrating that you were capable of writing more than a shopping list for Wal-Mart. Or whichever cavernous location my American cousins currently and dangerously frequent....

I have particularly enjoyed Harris Ryland and JRs quick hitters

Cynthia Cidre. Please give it a rest. It's both silly and, in some cases, rather vile.

I love the JR character- I think his dialogue has been brilliant, probably his best dialogue since Season 10. There hasn't been much he's done I haven't liked. I love that he has his name on the Southfork deed (fingers crossed it stays that way)- I like how confident he is- even this diversion because of his cancer treatment, he has seemed very confident of what he is doing, and I really love that, he was more scatterbrained in the later seasons, but here I feel real confidence he is going to get what he wants

I love Sue Ellen- I love seeing her, her character's story, plot, whatever, hasn't been what it should be but I always enjoy just watching her, just seeing her on the show to me is a treat.

I like Josh Henderson has John Ross. I didn't like him at first, for one reason, I'm partial to Omri Katz and still think he would have been fine to continue in the role- but Josh has done a good job, he's made me like him in a mixed up kind of way.

'Wherefore art' means 'why are' rather than - as you and others erroneously assume - 'where are.'

I am surprised by this oversight - nay, I cite it as an example of 'bad writing' punishable by death - especially since 'Romeo and Juliet' is so central to the plot of 'Dallas.'

A tactic obviously designed to bring forth more edumacated learnded for mine self and to highlight your inability to provide examples.

J.R. was excellent until the last couple episodes. But do I "love" him? I can't. No, no.

As much as I prefer to have original actors resume their roles, I don't think Omri would have been able to carry this new Dallas in the way Josh can do it. Omri lacks a certain charisma and a certain edge (at least I didn't see it in JR Returns) that Josh seems to possess. I think Omri's been out of the acting game for years.
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

Better that Burton is aroused from his grave than having to suffer the inexecrable din of Quiche and co. holding each others clammy little hands to jointly channel the combined wisdom of the 3 Stooges...Well, the 2 Stooges at the very most. Sorry, make it 1.

Hey, I picked for you one of my favorite actors (when I was a kid). Play nice.
