Default Lets make this Wed. a success!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know alot about how the ratings work, but from what I have been reading on this forum, I am getting the impression that all of our live viewings are monitored in some way by our cable provider or some rating system that can see what is being watched live. I have watched every episode live but this past Wed. I had to DVR as I was away from home. Consequently, the ratings dropped. So, I am watching live this Wednesday. LETS ALL DO THIS! Lets commit to watching live on Wed and get the ratings up! Without you, the show cannot succeed! The more that watch, the better the show does. And maybe, just maybe if it succeeds, they will listen to what we all want to see on the show. I love it and want it to continue. Commit to this Wed. folks!

I always watch it live except this week I have an appointment Wednesday night. But I'll have my daughter watch it live. I don't see how they can get accurate ratings in this day and age, with all the DVRing and On Demand viewing going on. And especially in the summer when people are busy taking advantage of the nice weather (even at night) and vacationing.
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

I'm going to try and watch it live but the last couple of weeks I've had to watch the 10 PM replay of it.

Unfortunately watching live won't help unless you have a Nielsen box in your home.

I don't know about a Nielsen box you're talkin' about, but yes... the more people will watch, the better it will be for the TNT executives! Encourage everybody to
watch the show... and JR should be more present from now on, right? DALLAS has a huge potential and it can really work if things are done the right way... so,
let's not give up on the show... we should never give up on anything to begin with... as long as we love it and like to keep it, so this can really be a success, but
it also needs some time to get its marks... We've been waiting for so long to have it back so, it cannot just fly away that easily! Let's go for DALLAS!

I watch it live anyway, and the repeat at 10CDT.......You'd think, with today's technology, that all TV's manufactured within the last 6-10 years, would have some kind of chip in them, transmitting what you're watching directly to Nielsen, and make ratings more accurate....not that we need this to be "1984" or anything like that, but it would be better for tracking anyway.

They should be able to track it through cable boxes.

SumnerinOhio, you are right. I was thinking what we watch would be tracked but after I posted the comment, I read that this is definitely not the case. Email TNT and let them know you are watching. Especially if you are in the 18-49 age range and let them know you are in this age bracket. This is the audience that advertisers really want to reach. LETS DO THIS! If the show gets HUGE, think about all the great twists and turns that could happen. It is only through us and the continuation of the show that we can see the things we want to happen on the show actually happen! Email TNT, and let 'em know you like the show and you watch it live.... http://support.tntdrama.com/ics/supp...sp?deptID=5477

If you give a dog a treat when they make mistakes, they'll repeat the mistakes over and over again...thinking they're doing exactly what you want.

This. Unless you are a Nielsen's "family", your watching the show does nothing for the ratings.

I always have it set to record, but also watch it live if home in time.

Last few Wed have been very busy at work and haven't been getting home until 830 or so, but that's what's great about a dvr, you can start watching the show, while it's still recording the last half.

Many think with the Olympics on the next 2 weeks, the ratings will be even lower, have to agree with that, but TNT probably also expects it to happen.

The Olympics so far have been having very, very good ratings.

I watch all the shows live, and will be tuning in Wed for the show. I hope the ratings are good this week but with the Olympics on they might go down.
