Ms. Ann, do you mean Jan or Feb of 2013? In any case, I say: Awesome! That would be right about when Series 3 of Downton Abbey is airing here in the US. It'll be terrific getting to watch original episodes of my two favorite dramas ever!

24 episode season just will not be possible for TNT. No show gets that on cable.

Anyway, this is fantastic! I naturally assumed it would be summer 2013, maybe starting in May and ending in September to accommodate the extra episodes. January or February is fantastic! Perhaps they're worried about the cliffhanger being defused by too long a wait.

Re-watching all of the old episodes of classic Dallas in the break between Season 1 and Season 2 of new Dallas sounds like an excellent plan.

That's great. I'm happy the break won't be too long. But I doubt we'll see all 15 episodes of season 2 in a single run. Otherwise we would get 25 episodes within one calendar year and that seems a bit too much for a cable network.

Cable shows tend to split their seasons into two batches - one that begins in the winter or early spring and the other that airs in the summer or early fall. So, we might get 7-8 episodes in early 2013 and then another 7-8 in the summer.

I would say the first 7 or 8 epsiodes run February through April, then the NBA playoffs come on which takes up the majority of TNT's primetime programming until June.

I would guess in November in time for Christmas
If they are going to try for Jan or Feb that would be nice but my guess is that it will be more like March

Like others have said I wonder if they'll split it up. Show 7 episodes have a mid-season cliffhanger and pick up in the summer with the remaining 8.

I doubt we'd ever see that. A lot of network shows don't even have a 24 episode season. 15 is probably just about as high as it would go I'd think.
