Maybe some wannabe journalist can make an UNSLANTED documentary about formerly gay people who actually have converted.. Instead of using the absolute that you are born what you are born..
I always see stories about women in mens bodies and the other way around and those people change their sex and we are taught to except them for their change..
But a person born gay who is now straight can't even be considered..
Just seems absurd to me... If you are born what you are then why not be vocal about these sex change operations???

To be fair though, it's now widely recognised that people can't "change their sex". I'm not an authority, but I do know that gender reassignment matches the body gender assigned at birth (by parents/doctors/whoever) with the brain gender - which someone is born with. So it's a similar principle to that of sexuality. It's not like someone suddenly chooses to be a different gender. The only choice is whether to be true to themselves.

Sick sick sick. It was only last year that I discovered what 'transgender' meant (I had thought it was something to do with cross-dressing). I was shocked to find what it actually was, and sickened to hear of parents raising their children 'gender neutral' or as the opposite gender; eg dressing little boys in skirts and makeup....and then later on all this blocking hormone stuff and saying children are telling them they want to be the opposite gender....
Truly boggles the mind why people encourage this sickening stuff.
You are born male or you are female, there's no changing what you are.

Simple scientific facts.

That's not scientific David. At all.
Is 1987 your year of birth? With all respect, if you are just learning what the word transgender means at the age of 23 or 24, I'm just wondering whether perhaps your life experience is a little limited to make up your mind so immovably on this and related subjects.
Have you researched these topics in journals and on sites that aren't Christian-led?
Have you ever knowingly had a one to one conversation with a gay or trans person? Or anyone whose background, culture and experiences differ from yours? And if so, how was that experience for you? Your posts give me the impression that perhaps you haven't, though.

I get the feeling that david1987's life has been rigorously controlled since birth, with his parents and peer group controlling his experiences and exposures. If this is the case, we're dealing with something or someone more akin to a robot than a human being. And if THAT is the case, we need to find out who else has been treated this way and bring down the force of law on these child-abusers. With extreme prejudice.

Here's an idea. You can do this at home, alone. The next time you go to the loo, look down at what comes out before you flush it down. Note, in particular, the size. What that means is if something that size can come out, then an object of the same size (like a penis) can go in. And it is a lot more comfortable than medical instruments.

When David looks in a mirror all he sees is a huge lump of turd his size and shape.

It works something like this david1987: Think of a human being as a combination of hardware and software, like a computer. Each of us is born with our bodies (hardware) and our sexuality (software). Now, sometimes, the software doesn't match the hardware - it's like trying to run Windows on a Mac or OS-X on a PC. It can be made to work, just not very well, and lots of problems.
Along comes science. The doctors figured out that if you modify the hardware (body) to accommodate the currently running operating system (brain/mind), the results are almost as good as if the hardware had been of the proper type to begin with. Especially since we now know that the software is fixed and immutable.
This allows the brain to get the body that is most suited for it instead of the one dished out at birth.
Admittedly, the analogy is a bit strained, but its the only way I think I can think of to make the concepts accessible to the masses.
PS - going even further with this, it would be nice if everybody did the equivalent of Linux (runs on anything) which would equate to pansexuality (no hangups, less bigotry).

And that's the flaw in the argument. If you're born that way, why would you have to change anything about yourself?
