out of all the soap bitches i would have to say emma is the best. charlie brookes is excellent in ee, but charity for me is the queen. there are many different sides to charity, played to perfection by emma.

i am amazed that in the upcoming british soap awards, neither emma or lucy pargeter are in the final nominations for best actress. infact none of the emmerdale ladies have been shortlisted which is a real shame.

The BSA are totally naff. Emma Atkins is one of the best actresses in the show alongside Lucy Pargeter.

Emmerdale is gradually reclaiming its rural modern feel. Tonight's episode was great and it demonstrated what a selfish cow Kezza Wyatt is.

Zak & Cain in the kitchen of the farmhouse with the grandchildren was a brilliant moment. Cain & Moira is a bit of a leap for me but I think Cain would really suit the farm, I can see him as the patriarchal-farmer-Jack Sugden type figure of the show - it would be quite a journey for Cain.

Emmerdale does not get the recognition it deserves. I hope one day that Richard Thorp and Chris Chittell win a Lifetime Achievement Award for their services to Emmerdale and their career before Emmerdale. AT least Emmie won Best Episode for its 40th anniversary live episode.

Emmerdale has now over 40 years of rich history and heritage. I can also see Cain mellowing and becoming the new Jack Sugden but at the moment I see Zak Dingle as the new Jack Sugden type figure.

Eric Pollard will soon be the longest serving character in the show. Already as we speak the crown of longest serving cast member still in the show has been passed to Chris Chittell. He joined in June 1986 with his first scenes shown on 30th September, so 27 years this September.

Alan Turner will soon be pulling pints in the sky with Amos Brearly and Henry Wilks.
