A year ago I predicted the show would be renamed The Aaron Livesy Show as he seemed to be the main character and had the most screentime even though there were 50 odd other characters. Now he is gone it is more Emmerdale again but still feels like Debbiedale or Chasdale at times.

I cannot imagine what the writers etc were thinking when they decided on the whole Marlon/laurel story, they have to be the most mismatched characters ever, and they look so awkward in every scene they play together, soooo unbelievable. the thing is if it means that he will decide not to go to NZ on the back of her deciding that she loves/wants him after all, and thus Paddy and missus stay as well, it means that entire storyline was a waste of time. The logistics of their continuing relationship will be a nightmare. Marlon owns Tall Trees, thus she should logically move in there, but then what about Lizzie whom he has promised can stay there come what may, and of course Ashley is there at the moment also. And will there be room for the two kiddies?(after all Leo has his nursery there) And what about poor Sandie?

On the other hand the Jai/Rachel one, although just as awkward, could run for some time (well at least nine months when the childs' complexion will let the cat out of the bag.

I cannot make head nor tail of the Woolpack interior when it comes to the exterior. It is all over the place. The back room is in the B&B next door and the door in the back hallway leads outside into the back car park area and that said door is right next to the arched window when you look at the inside of the pub, but from outside the arched window is slap bang to the right of the back entrance door yet from the inside there seems to be half the back room and the back window of the main bar inbetween the arched window and back entrance door. To cut a long story short from the outside there is about a foot between the back entrance door and the arched window but from inside the back entrance door is about 10 feet from the arched window. Does not make sense and I thought the Rovers was bad .

No wonder Moira laughed when Alex kissed her,she is way out of his league.

They've been quiet on the music festival at Home Farm front lately... Anybody else had a slight feeling it will end in disaster? When's it due to be held, Glastondale?
Loved Alex kissing Moira, and her laughing afterwards, though she deserves much better.

Emmerdale was better tonight. For once Chas was not in an episode. Must be a miracle.

The music festival at the Harewood Estate was cancelled due to bad weather, this was what was going to double as the Home Farm festival. They did some filming there during that weekend but I'm not sure how it's going to affect the storyline overall or when it was meant to take place on screen.

Really good tonight. Amy was so good in the scenes with her Mam, the Pollards just continue to surprise. And Brenda in the mix totally works too.

Now if I can just block out this Moira & Alex thing then I'll be very happy, very happy.

Emmerdale was better tonight and last night.

Chris Chittel must have a very heavy filming schedule as Pollard is a very central character and gladly so after 26 years.

It seemed a bit odd that Eric offered Amy's mum a room at the B&B for the night, don't think she'll be in much of a hurry to leave.

go girl, fill your boots, or rather your wellies.

emmerdale is getting a good old kicking on other sites at the mo. i may be a loan voice in the emmerdale wilderness, but im actaully enjoying it. its easy to watch, its less hammy and certainly better acted than corrie at present and i dont feel like ive been through the ringer like when ive watched ee.

out of the big 3 ee is certainly the best and on form with out a doubt, but i dont think this will last for long.

for some reason im being drawn to emmerdale again. it may be that in ee and corrie you have superb actors and then there is a gulf and you have the not so good and then the truly awful. i dont need to name and shame we all know who they are!

emmerdale dosent have stand out performances, but what it does have is an excellent ensemble. imo that is far more important for the health and growth of a show.

corrie will always be top of the ratings as it has the most loyal fans and most easily pleased and for that reason alone it will out live both emmerdale and ee.

Warning. Tonight's episode of Emmerdale features intimate scenes of a Marlon and Laurel nature. Viewer Discretion Is Advised.

If ever 2 of the Big 3 had to be axed and the viewers got a right to vote I would choose Emmie and Easties to go and vote to keep Corrie. As much as I love Emmie and like Easties I'd always want Corrie to outlive them mainly due to the shows longevity and very, very rich history and I'd want that to continue. I could not contemplate Emmie and Easties surviving and Corrie axed.

Also Emmie and Easties have times where a character or family dominates a chunk of episodes for weeks or months on end. Corrie is more diverse and the characters all seem to get an equal share of screen time. In Emmie Chas, Debbie, Pollard, Cameron, Rachel, Charity, Cain, Zak and Jai seem to be the big characters and get a lot of screen time over others and Easties it is Fatboy, Jay, Phil, Shirley, Alfie, Derek, Max, Roxy, Kim and Ian who seem to get the majority of screen time.

Also Emmie and Easties have often bought in failed families like the Wyldes, Daggerts for Emmie and Millers, Ferrieras in Easties.

Corrie and Crossies will always seem to be the Big 2 out of the Big 4 although when I say Crossies it is the 1964-1988 era.
