This thread is fine example on the lack of understanding when it comes to forum etiquette.


Comparing gays to pedophiles is not only offensive but comes across that someone doesn't truly understand what pedophilia really is. I suggest David that you read back your posts and have a good long think of how you're coming across.

The name calling by a few is also showing a lack of understanding to forum etiquette and I suggest those members think long and hard when engaging in forum debate.

If I was to go back and remove all the posts that go against the forum rules this thread wouldn't be half as long. I'm not going to remove those posts because I think some people need to read back and think about how they are coming across.

I know it's only a select few and there are many members who have posted on here under the guidelines. Again perhaps those engaging in the name calling and posting offensive comments could take a leaf out of their book.

Honestly it really comes across like playground chit chat and I mean Primary not High school.


If this thread can not move forward with respect and consideration then it's going to get closed.

Chick-fil-A Bully Adam Smith Fired From Job

A Tucson man who berated a drive-thru girl during Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was canned from his finance job at a manufacturing company.

Adam Smith, who supports gay marriage, thought it would be hilarious to bully the young woman. Well, it wasn't funny. And, it turns out, people don't appreciate it when grown men behave like schoolyard thugs.

Maybe getting fired will help Adam to mature, but don't hold your breath. This guy is a real jerk. Why is this girl responsible for the opinions held by Dan Cathy? If you disagree with your boss about politics, you should quit your job? That's absurd.

On Wednesday, during the "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" Smith decided to pay a visit to the Tucson franchise, and vent his anger about Cathy's anti-gay comments. Smith ordered a cup of water at the drive-thru, then proceeded to browbeat the unidentified girl working the window.

The fast food employee remained very courteous, but she would have been justified to tell him off.

Smith made the dumb mistake of videotaping the incident, and uploading it to YouTube. When his co-workers at Vante, Inc., saw the despicable footage, they were appalled by his childish behavior. He deserved to lose his job, but now maybe he could apply for a position at Chick-fil-A.

He was very rude, proves the point how some want tolerance, but only on things THEY believe in. Not sure if I agree with him losing his job, unless he was on "company time".

Large crowds on Aug 1 in what ended up being to support free speech, very small crowds by the gay community, on Aug 3 (even most of them knew a "kiss in" wouldn't help what they are fighting for).

I heard it on the radio today, it was the decision of the restaurant board (not Cathy). While I'm sure many are rejoicing, I am not. I hate to think of that alderman in Chicago being able to dictate what a business can or can not say.

They stepped in a pile of poo and now they're (trying to) making amends. I think they did the right thing. Cathy can sit and fester in his own little home-made hell for all I care.
