We did indeed. My sister died from cervical cancer. This was before the HPV vaccines were developed and that asshole Texass governor of ours essentially banned it claiming it would lead to increased slutdom or some other such bull shiite. The same garbage david1987 is spouting.

I would really like to lure little david over to Pharyngula and let them have their way with him. Little david types traipse through there all the time and end up either being banned, banished to the "dungeon", or running away with their tails tucked firmly between their legs (after being thoroughly macerated).

So why not invent a drug that treats the disease, instead of one that has "the side effect" of killing someone?

What? Like blood clots? Anyone can fatally throw a blood clot. There are risks with every drug, surgery, or treatment out there---even something as mild as acetaminophen (Tylenol) can cause serious liver damage with prolonged use.
I'm sticking this link in every thread that has been infected with the hate-virus david1987:

The affordable care act, aka Obamacare, is little more than measly private insurance reform. It makes it easier to get access to PRIVATE INSURANCE and forces the insurance industry to stop the most egregious abuses such as lifetime limits, rejecting claims with virtually no recourse, or retroactively cancelling your policy when you need it the most. All of which are currently allowed.

My avatar is an autograph of Coronation Street's Philip Lowrie (Dennis Tanner, an original character) which he personalised for me.
