Thanks. I read thru the series summary just enough to get a feel for the basic plot, but not to spoil the finer points. I generally try to avoid spoilers, it's more fun that way imo.

Fantastic name Charro, always loved her. There's a woman who obviously knows how to have fun.

Hehe, a lot of people have assumed what you have about my name. I actually took it from the Elvis movie of the same name

No worries It's not a very well known film. I'm actually more interested now in learning about Charo, the actress/musician.

I was always fascinated by Charro as a small child when she was a regular tv personality in the 70s. She made a recent appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race and still looked great, hadn't changed all that much over the many years.

I just assume any male posting regularly on a nighttime soap opera board is gay- I'm sure there is the rare bird who isn't, but it's sort of a reverse in the population- 95 percent gay, 5 percent straight. I'm not sure if many lesbians like these soaps or not, they seem to stalk the Kelly Clarkson boards.

Good point, gay men are more likely to be that into soaps than their hetero brothers. I've known some lesbians to get into soaps, but it is more of a gay male thing. Kelly Clarkson is a lesbian icon? I had no idea.

I have no idea if the wrap up will be included in my set, but I checked and it is on youtube so I know I can watch it there if it's not on my set.
If it's the boxset which includes both the 1983 mini-series and the 1985 series follow up, then yes it will be complete. If they're separate boxsets, the 22 part series will end on the original cliffhanger.

Well you're in for a treat, if you love Dallas you'll really love the 22 part series, but for obvious reasons watch the mini-series first.

They're two seperate sets, I couldn't find a complete set with both. No biggie, since I know how to find the epilogue on youtube. I am really looking forward to it.
Considering I was in elemetry school when Dallas came on, aw, hell, no, I really was already gay then anyways.

Bobby and Gary Ewing and the second Steven Carrington definitely played a part in my gayness. Them were some pretty boys.

I think I like Bobby (Patrick Duffy) when I got hooked on Dallas.

Gay here too. Whereas Dynasty had most of the hot guys on the show, Dallas had one of television's best female gay icons with Sue Ellen. We do enjoy an alcoholic, verbally abused, "rise from the ashes" survivor character.

Speaking of the guys on Dallas, is it just me or is it generally thought that Patrick Duffy wasn't sexy or desirable? I just don't get it. I thought he was pretty hunky back in the day, but maybe it's just his wholesome quality that turns people off. I never see him listed as one of the hottest guys of the 80s or having any kind of sex appeal. I guess he's just a hit or miss with most people. Somebody clear that up for me.
