visiting Southfork and Dallas

I've gotten my daughter hooked on Dallas and so I think now would be a good time to take a trip to Dallas to visit Southfork and the Dallas area to see filming locations. I've looked at the resources on this website, but what I'm curious about is the opening scene from Dallas. I want to drive on the (I'm assuming they are interstates) going into Dallas as seen on the episodes. What highways are they and what direction are they going in?

According to google map its off Farm to Market Road 2551, address is 3700 Hogge Drive, Parker TX 75002 972-442-7800. I thought about taking the Southfork tour its only $10-15 would be a nice weekend getaway. map to southfork.gif

You will need to come from the south of Dallas on I-35.

In the opening the bridge that Pams car is on is the Jefferson st viaduct and the Houston st viaduct is on the left

We visited Southfork several times over the years. To just go there and be where that show was filmed made it all worthwhile. Highlights for me were,of course,Jock's Lincoln and Kristin's gun and my wife loved Lucy's wedding dress. Yes,we had to grab some souveniers,too. It is such a great trip for any and all Dallas fans!
