Default Whether or not Victoria returns

Her will she won't she return to Dallas is always going to be talked about until it does infact happen. The show/its producers, its stars and the fans can't escape that. Pam is the elephant in the room and will continue to be until she appears or dies officially offscreen.

I hope she comes back myself, its the only Dallas plot left with any substance that would truly mean something to the history of the show.

Think how her return would affect Bobby's marriage and Christopher's life. She was such a thorn in JR's side, think how she would affect his life. How would Cliff react. Oh what fun it would be. As I mentioned in a previous thread, what if she had somehow managed to give birth to Bobby's child while away, and Bobby finds out he has another biological child. The possibilities are endless.
Yes, JR. The answer is yes. You were the love of my life!

I think they either need to bring Pam back or kill her because it's not fair to the fans, hoping that she will one day show up.

I never really cared for her and found her whiny however I accept that she is a major part of Dallas, so many problems could she cause IF she shows up and I for one would love to see the fireworks

I think the show would love to have her, they seem to have indicated that, but it appears Victoria is the one saying no- or maybe she is asking for too much. It might be hard for them to pay both Hagman's salary and what she might be asking, so if Hagman leaves the show for any reason, they would probably be able to offer her a lot more money to come back. Obviously she doesn't need big bucks, but it's the prestige of it, I'm sure. She certainly won't come back for peanuts if Hagman is making that much more.

They've talked about how she wanted to divorce herself from the show for her principal secret line, but really how many people saw those infomercial and didn't think, "that's Pam Ewing."

I think alot of it goes back to the dream season. Duffy comes back and the Pam character turns into a wimp. Then you have new characters like April coming in combined with poor scripts, and I think she just said the hell with it. I dont think the money matters to VP, but the creative control does.

They wimped Pam out long before Duffy returned in the shower and as a fan of the character, it was frustrating as hell....can only imagine how frustrating it was to Victoria.

I don't necessarily think its creative control that VP wants...I just think the Bobby and Pam story was very important to her (very evident in the Return to Southfork special) and I'm not sure she'd settle for a storyline that ends with Pam ultimately not being with Bobby.

i agree it will be obessed about until the show ends. & the funny thing is even before this show was announced people pretty much were STILL talking about it hence a tv movie that may or may not happen. honestly as iv'e said in the past, i don't think she's ever going to return. so i don't really sit back & think about it like many people seem to be.

Why the hell would Pam want Bobby at this point?

Yep. If they had no interest in asking her back, and then not doing right by her character why in the hell would she even consider coming back? They don't have to like her but the blatant disrespect for her character and past contributions is just too much.

The only thing that works for me bringing her back if it's done based on what I've seen is this: Bobby was run over at the end of Season 8 (Don't know the character's name) but the intended target you could tell was Pam. So even if she "dreamed" it maybe she gets it in her head that Bobby wants her dead, or she would be better off without Bobby in her life, or even worse, her life would be better if she ruined Bobby's. So she sets it up with the hospital to bandage her from head to toe when she comes in after the accident. She fools Bobby and Cliff into believing she's in seriously bad shape. She needs someone with at least some animosity toward Bobby, so she has J.R. help her 'escape' but she doesn't wise Cliff up except to tell him that she left. (If I'm remembering Cliff got a letter explaining her leaving?) She goes into hiding, finds out through J.R. that Bobby somehow got wind she was alive. So she comes back with the divorce papers, has him sign, claims she's dying and leaves. Now all these years later when Bobby seems to have finally and completely found happiness, his world comes crashing down around him with J.R. and John Ross getting control of Southfork. So she comes back in as JR's business partner or even worse her lover! Or the other angle could be that she's behind Marta's and thereby John Ross' and now JR's plot trying to buy Southfork.

Why would I go this way? I'm a pro-wrestling fan, and one thing I know from that, is that the sweetest one can usually be turned into the biggest *****.

Now can someone write through the attempt on Bobby's life obviously being part of "The Dream"?

Very true they act like she's not an important part of Dallas when she infact is VERY important just as much as the main three.

I'd like to see her return. But I really like Bobby's new wife. I don't want Bobby and Ann's marriage to suffer. It was said in one of the episodes that Ann was insecure about Pam in the beginning of their marriage when Christopher was talking about how it was difficult to have Elena and Rebecca around eachother. If Pam is alive, then isn't it odd how she wasn't even at Christopher's wedding? Even though she's Bobby's ex-wife she is still Christopher's mom. Its hard to believe that after the accident she just went away and never contacted her son ever again.
