Season 3
Season 3 is on Amazon Prime at $1.99 per episode for total of $56.00 to buy each epi separately. I'd like to buy the dvd set for my collection. Come on Amazon...release it!!!

Could someone in the US please buy one of those S3 Episodes and say, if it's beautifully remastered?
Because if not, somebody made that whole thing with restoring S3 up...

As season 3 is such a gem it so deserves remastering.

You lucky guys in the US - the purchase of episodes is restricted to US credit cards by Amazon. What a shame! Thousands of Europeans like myself are waiting for Falcon Crest season 3 just as eagerly!

Oddly enough episode 7 of season 3 is "unavailable" on Amazon Prime. Who really wants an incomplete season? Especially for a serialized show. I think I'll pass for now.

From what we know, the S 3 episodes on amazon.com (Amazon Instant Video) are not remastered. By the way, # 047 <3.07> is currently missing on amazon.com because there have been some very obvious storage problems -- this episode was misfiled as it has the same title as a different episode from season 8. Warner Bros. has been having many problems with locating the correct episode in their archives whenever the same title was used. A similar incident happened a few years ago with "Changing Times" (an episode title also used in two seasons) when they kept providing the wrong tape to Zone Romantica or CBS Drama in the U.K.
I was at the WB archives in May 2010 as I was commissioned to reorganize the "Falcon Crest" slides for the future DVD packaging. I can only tell that many things were misplaced, and the "Falcon Crest" binders also contained slides from "Dallas" and "Knots Landing", which I sorted out to be put into the correct collections, of course.
WHV is remastering the S 3 episodes for the upcoming DVD release only, and this is still in the works. Please check out www.falconcrest.org for the current status (just updated 07/23/2012).

Last weak I dreamt I got an email from amazon.de, stating that S3 was available to buy.
Probably because I want it so much.

Thanks for the updates and the info about the amazon episode error. I went to the Falcon Crest website and checked the full status on the dvd. Glad to hear it's still in the works for the US market, and the option of manufacture on demand exists for it. I'm assuming season 2 wasn't remastered. The quality was not great, but it was ok, and no more distracting than the later seasons of Dallas on the larger released dvds. It's hard to believe they would spend so much time on Falcon Crest. Regardless, it's nice to know it's getting put on dvd. Now if we could just get them to consider Knots Landing one day....

Really odd.
Nothing new after several months.
Regarding to the remarkable CBS-Remastering of Star Trek TNG the remastering of an episode takes somewhat about a week.. with several SFX and countless special effects in it... Falcon Crest S3 should be done already ages ago, as there aren't too many "special effects" with spaceships and stuff, are there...?!
And just WHY would they put so much effort on S3 without knowing if further seasons will sell well?
Still think all those news about remastering S3 are a big hoax... I'd be glad to be proven wrong.
But at the moment I really believe there were never ANY plans to remaster ANYTHING, sadly.
I'd be happy if someone could proove me wrong here...
I mean... why let people download "bad" versions of S3 instead of the already remestered ones, which would bring more money?? Especially if it's planned to be released on DVD-R in US anyway...?!
Doesn't make much sense at all.. sadly.
There should be news about remastered S3 in between the next weeks... otherwise, I'd REALLY feel cheated about that BIG TIME!!!
I could have had those S3 eps remastered already by myself in that amount of time, only left with the film rolls and a scanner here... the time argument is really more than off scale by now.
